Your description is a bit of a "bummer" LOL, so this may not help, but the most famous war theme is Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.

in the hall of the mountain god?

thats a classic war tune

i use to play a lil war game called Return Fire, and man when that would start you knew the poo was about to hit the fan

MA, probably has the right name of it, I just know that it was called in the hall of the mountain god on some classical CD I had a long time ago.

or maybe they're are too different songs? as my classical knowledge stops with a video game hahaa.

Sounds like the beginning of Elvis Presley: Aloha From Hawaii album.

It starts with Richard Strauss's Also Sprach Zarathustra and morphs into See See Rider. It brings a tear to my eye everytime I hear it.

Peace

Are you possibly thinking of Beethoven's 9th symphony? It sort of sounds like it through the ba bums. I could be wrong.

da da dun dun....da da dun dun...da da da DA DA da dunn...
(then an octave higher)

da da dun dun...da da dunn...da da da DAA DAA DA dunn...

well was it close? imo its the most classic song they use in movies when conflict arises ya know?

btw anyone ever play Return Fire? That was a great game!

If nobody has figured it out already, I'll throw my guess out there.

The William Tell Overture by Rossini? You know, the Lone Ranger song.

Strangley enough, while I'm listening to it, trying to match the da da da's and ba ba ba's, your avatar appears to be rockin out to the classical music.

Can you record yourself humming it? Or perhaps remember a specific game or commercial you heard it in?

Maybe Haydn's Mass in Time of War?
