Please forgive me if I am a little disjointed, I am throwing ideas
together as I write.

I was watching the movie "The Others' last night and it occured to
me that time must run differently in the spiritual realm.
I think that it may run much slower there. Einstein thought that
time was the fourth dimension, perhaps our souls inhabit this
dimension throughout our lives and after our deaths.

When we astral, time passes much more quickly there than it does
here. An hour on the astral plane is usually equivalent to just a
few minutes of 'real' time.
This may or may not be the same level that spirits of the dead
inhabit, but I believe the two are at least very similar.

Perhaps this is why ghosts linger for decades and perhaps even
centuries, it takes time for them to be able to process their own
deaths, particuarly if the death was traumatic. The are unable to
move on until they have released the emotional ties to this world.
Of course with their time moving slower the process would seem to
take much longer than a similar adaptation in our time. The more
adaptable or less traumatised the spirit is, the more easily it is
able to accept it's lot and the faster it can move forward.

Einstein also said that time fluctuates for each person, time is how
we perceive it. If time seems to be going rapidly for you then it
really is moving rapidly.
Ghosts present themselves much more frequently when our perceived
time has slowed down (like at night). Rather than some over lap of
the two realms in a physical sense, could this be because our
percieved time is closer to their actual time - the two times come
closer to one another, allowing interaction from either side?

Quite often ghosts make noises that sound like low groans. Could
this be because they are speaking clearly in their time, but we are
hearing them as being much slower than us? If we were able to speed
up the sound as we heard it, would we be able to understand these
moans?
EVP seems to run against this, but possibly the recording media is
able to 'translate' the sounds, or the spirits have found a way to
slow their voices but need the media in order for us to hear them
(perhaps they are able to slow the tape as it records them). If
these recordings are performed this way it would explain why people
in the area can't hear the sounds.

The modern age has begun to move much more quickly through time. The
Hopi indians of America refer to this as the 'Quickening'. We are
moving further away from our spirituality and if we are to avoid
destruction we need to slow ourselves down and begin to reaquaint
ourselves with the spirtual forces of ourselves and of nature.

I think we are in the astral world when we are dreaming.. I also think when we die we go there..

Think of it like this, when you wake up after sleeping a while and you dont have to wake up, you go back to sleep and have a dream. When you wake back up its only been like 15 mins, but the dream felt alot like a few hrs or whatever.

In that I believe time goes slower in the Astral where we are dead and dream at. Alot of Astral Travels have also stated this also, Time seems to seem very long in the Astral then when they come to reality its only been a few minutes or whatever.

There was a story where this guy let his freinds knock him out just to see what it was like. He went on to say that when he got KO'ed he felt like he was in another place altogether. He felt like he was there for a very long time.. But in reality he was only KO'ed for about 2 or 3 minutes...

Anyway I dont know if this will help you or not but.. its an idea.

Yeah, it is the type of examples that you give that I am refering to.
I think that it suggests that we are moving at a different rate of time than the astral or spirit realm and this is one thing that causes it to be very difficult for us to communicate with those who have passed over.

The astral does indeed move more quicklly than our 'reality' as evidenced above.
I think that the spirit realm, where ghosts reside, moves more slowly.
This is why it is only when our perceived times slows down that we are in any way able to interact with that realm.

This is based on the theory that the astral realm is seperate from the spirit realm, although they may exist in the same physical space. Both are obviously also seperate from our reality.

So in order of time speed it would be;
Astral - the fastest
Our Reality
Spirit Realm, the slowest

People I know who race through life (and so have the fastest perceived time) are the least spiritual and the least likely to experince anything paranormal. They do have access to the astral realm, but this typically only occurs during sleep. The rapidity of their lives is shown in their physical bodies, they die at an earlier age and seem to age faster.

Spiritual people I have met, move through life at a slower pace. They often experience the paranormal, including 'ghosts'.
This could be because they have slowed their perceived time to a state that is close enough to that of the Spirit realm for the two to be able to interact with each other.

time is agonisingly slow "in perspective" in the realm of the God

it is like 1 day in heaven = 1 thousand years on Earth

one cannot measure time, time in the realm of God are in different dimension and perspective, but the general idea is that if you go heaven to stay for a day, your time on earth will lapse by a thousand years

ed.. long quote

I was thinking about that bible quote last night (one day = one thousand years) and was thinking that it would suggest that the closer one gets to God, the slower things are in relation to this plane of reality. Which ties into the idea that the more spiritual you are the slower time moves for you as an individual.
That would give us at least four levels of time, astral, us, spirit and God.
Of course, this is all theory...well more like a series of thoughts, but I have been unable to find anything (as yet) that really disproves it all.

There should be no such things as Ghosts . If people who die go to another realm ie Heaven or Hell the people seing Ghosts are looking at artificial created ghosts who are not real.

"Time" over there would have to be called something other than liniar. Past, present and future are all the same thing now.

Ghosts don't need to speak to one another - any noise or other fabricated/manufested physicaly perceptive stimuli is only for those who are physical (us).
