lol, well if your going to equip an army, you may as well have the most potent weapons at your disposal. Besides its hardly a post that belongs in this forum. As devilwasp said there was a previous one which was put into BTS.

What's the purpose of this mercenary army? What tasks? What mission?

Don't see how anyone can answer this thread until you give us these basic but rather important facts.

I agree with badger. If i had unlimited funds I would grab a thousand acres of land and half of it would be a clear "Kill zone" with hidden motion and IR detectors surrounding my mansion, as well as a real time high res sattilite image of the area. Place could probly be defended by everying short of national armed forces by a squad of Expert sniper/scouts using Barret M82A1s and say come and get me.

Why do I need an army when I am happy at home?

Pistol/PDW: FN Five seveN with a LAM and silencer if needed, FN P-90 with tactical flash light and LAM.
SMG: HK MP-5SD3 with red dot sight
Carbine: HK G36K
Rifle: FN SCAR (both models)
Machinegun: IMI Negev, M2HB
Sniper Rifle: AMP DSR-1 and HK MSG-90
SAM: SA-18 MANPAD
ATGM: AT-13 Metis-M

These teams would be deployable in HMMWV's if necesary and their main duties will be defense of the premises where I live, they would be guarding day and night armed with Carbines, if special requirements are necesary for certain missions, they are provided with any equipment they might need.

SAMs and ATGMs will be supplied in limited numbers only unless their is an invasion in progress.

I meant for it to be used in the method that the private soldiers on Iraq, i.e. guarding people/places, and for when the U.S. can't do something because it violates the rules of war.

Bit of a traditionalist, but here goes:

Rifle - H&K G36 - reliable & accurate.
SMG - H&K MP5K PDW - As above, plus can be fitted with loads of add-ons, can double as a general duty or concealed carry SMG
Duty Pistol - SIG P226 - proven reliability, accurate, decent capacity, ammo easy to procure.
Carry Pistol/PPW - SIG P229 - easier to conceal than the 226, but controls are the same, making itmore natural to use.
Shotgun - not fussed, should be pump action from a decent manufacturer, with 6rds minimum capacity.
LMG - FN Minimi - versatile, mag or belt fed.
GPMG - L7A1 (FN MAG) - loads of firepower, gods own weapon.
HMG - Browning M2 QCB.
Sniper rifle - AI Super Magnum .338LM - more range than 7.62, collapsable stock for portability.

BTW tomcat, good shout on the Javlin! Great bit of kit.

Rifle I’d want is either an Heckler & Koch (H&K) G36 or a G41-TGS;

Pistol has got to be the FN P90 5.7x28mm – 50 Rnd Mags and lots of ‘em;

SMG has to be a HK MP5/10;

For Shotgun, I’d simply use the SPAS 12;

Squad Wpn/LMG, the Minimi – the M249;

GPMG – Only the General will do – ‘nuff said

And finally a Sniper Rifle – the Scharfschutzen Gewehr 69 would do but if you need a decent .50, then I’d opt for the British Accuracy International AS50 rifle.
