I don't see all that much similarity.
This looks more like the jeep used by COBRA, than the batmobile

And this looks crazy, it looks like a toy, which I'm sure it will be, even though they spent more than a million on each lifesize one.

This is totally a Below Top Secret Topic.

The batmobile, while being a functional car in the context of the movie, is actually several different cars, each with a certain function, i.e jumping, shooting, etc.

It's 5 cars used for shooting the film, and all of the functions could never be put in one car.

The "Shadow topic" was already posted.
However it's nice vehicle, the best things about it - it can be carried by Osprey internally and it has hybrid engine (when running on bateries it is undetectable by IR sensors like FLIR). I hope it will be produced.

You should read the link
.

A 7.62mm, 12.7mm machine gun, 40mm grenade launcher, Objective Crew Served Weapon (OCSW), Javelin or TOW anti-tank missile systems can be mounted on the roof hatch.

The Shadow can be fitted with a defensive aids suite including radar and laser warning receivers, and missile warners.

Wodan the crazy comment was directed at the batmobile, not the shadow.

Those are nice pics though, and I agree this will probably be moved in the near future.

The Shadow does look mysteriously like the Stinger though.

Cobra!

Speaking of Cobra, anyone find it ironic that the US is engaged in a global battle against international terroists that us corporate fronts to hide their indentities and finance their operations for global dominion?

I mean, are we looking for these guys:

Is this the master of disguise?

Ah yes, the Stinger and Vamp were the same vehicle, only in different colors and with different armaments. If I recall, the original Vamp had a twin laser cannon or something in place of the stinger's missiles and had no pieces to cover the cage. The Stinger and Vamp Mk II both had missile launchers along with doors and a roof that snapped into place on their roll cages.

Either way, yes there is some similarity in design to the Shadow, even if only aesthetically.

my money's on this bad boy
but seriously i think the batmobile is all around better. but since batman dosen't kill... ever. It would hae only non leathel capapbilitys. flash bang grenads. smoke screens. those crappy plastc spring loaded missles that always get lost.. you know the basics.
