Pictures of Girl Released in Effort to Find Child Sex Abuse Victim (moved from ATSNN), page 1

Police have released a photo of a girl in the hope that the identification of her pictures will lead to another young girl believed to be a victim of sexual abuse and child pornography. The girl in the picture is a material witness after photographs of her sitting on a sofa and an excercise machine were included in a thumbnail slideshow showing the sexual abuse of the the other girl in what was later identified as a Florida Resort room.

Torres said Toronto police recently discovered additional images of a different young girl lying on a sofa and sitting on a piece of exercise equipment.

"These photographs were included in a collage of thumbnail images with the currently unidentified victim," he said.

The second girl has not been identified as a victim of physical or sexual abuse, Torres said.

"She may have been photographed by the same person who photographed the unidentified victim in the ongoing sexual abuse investigation," he said.

The girl suffering the abuse is likely to be aged around 12 years old and lives either in southeast Canada or the northeastern area of the United States. According to Toronto police the images are of horrific abuse and it is of utmost importance for the witness to be identified in order to further identify the victim and rescue her from the abuse.
