You've come to a forum where we all kind of have to place a measure of trust in one another.
You see, the topics that are discussed on ATS are kind of off-center. All too often, someone will show up one day, cause all sorts of trouble, then leave while those of us who stick around have to clean up the mess.
Most forums on the 'net are free-for-alls and have no real structure. There's no way to exchange information OR build a community in an environment like that.
Now, keep in mind that I mentioned community. 99% of us have not, and will never, see each other in real life. That doesn't mean we aren't protective of each other.
To be honest, your post ridiculing Valhall pushed buttons because Val is one of the most respected posters here at ATS. Plus I think she's really cool and she remembered my birthday.
IOW, you stepped on some toes that you probably didn't mean to step on.

Just pretend that ATS is a gigantic ongoing face to face convention. Don't post something you wouldn't SAY to someone in a face to face situation...especially if that person is wearing a badge saying "VIP".

Well, Valhall has never had an androgynous avatar.

Banshee, on the other hand, has gone from the all-seeing left eye of Echelon, which caused David's discombobulation, to (____________________) insert description of Banshee's once-again gender-indeterminate-for-some eerie child avatar. (I like it by the way).
