It looks as though it already premiered in 97' at an international exhibition. Its actually the 'Chiorny Oriol' which means when translated 'Black Eagle'.

the Chiorny Oriol tank I believe was designed to be exported to the south korean market in particular.

possible but we're not sure wat they are doin with it right now, the Russian economy is in bad shape but they still be investing in new tank tech for years to come of course. just wont be in production unless their economy has a boost.

The "Black Eagle" is a prototype and research for future technologies testbed.
It is not going into production, for anyone, including the Russians.
It has been discussed several times within ATS.
