I dont understand what i just witnessed

While there may be circumstances i am unaware of, this blows my mind.

I was in a large grocery chain parking lot today, i had just finished shopping and was leaving. There was a contractor van parked by the entrance with 2 guys working on the door.

This guy walks up, kneels by the front drivers tire, and props a nail under the tire. As soon as the van moves, this 4 inch nail will go all the way through the tire.

There were at least 10 of us who watched this happen. 2 of us spoke up, everone else went the other way.

Why would you want to harm someone, even just financially?

I do not get the mindset of the world today, and it is not just the younger generation...this guy was in his 60s.

Some people are just wrong uns.

Sounds like a thoughtless dreg. Probably in his mind he was angry these people working parked their van in his way or that they were parked closer to the entrance then him.

Tampering with the part of the vehicle that meets the road is more than attempted financial harm. It’s straight up malicious intent to harm or even kill.

Maybe a road rage incident. The van driver may have been the culprit and was followed into the car park. Once out of sight the road rage victim decides to take revenge.

Anything is possible these days.

People are assholes man. I don't know how many videos I've see online of people just behaving rottenly. Saw this one lady sitting down and minding her own business. When Karen comes along and says something to her. The lady ignores her completely. Karen keeps trying to engage and the lady asks her to leave her alone. Karen got butthurt. So Karen went and grabbed her cup of coffee and threw it on here. And there so many more.

Carrying around 4" nails to do this is psychotic.

My nephews father collects nickels to flip out the window to crack windshields of drivers behind him that defy his will. (Way to pick em sis.. 🙄)

He calls it "grenading".🤷🏻

No Trump sticker. Natinal contractor who appears to keep politics out of their business practices.

Maybe whoever did it, will be following the van for when it stops so they can then rob whats in the van or steal the van itself.

Was someone recording as a prank? Maybe disgruntled ex-employee? The sad thing is that no one said anything.

I do. Some people just aren't happy unless everyone around them is miserable. They are miserable souls, and their lives are so pathetic that they deserve intense but temporary pain to illustrate what misery truly is.

Maybe it was the friend of one of the two guys working. The guy working didn’t want to go to the next job, and thought a flat tire would get him some time off.

You never know.

I’m an operator at a power plant. One winter boilermakers were working on a heat exchanger with vertical fire tubes. I was quality control at the top. A sheet of plywood was over most of the tubes with welding blankets while the welder was making repairs to the tube sheet. All of a sudden there was a small explosion, and things flew up then landed all topsy turby.

A jackass boilermaker at the bottom of the tubes at the opposite end thought it would be funny to shoot acetylene up a tube and ignite it. I don’t think he was laughing when he was escorted off site and got his ass kicked later on.

Maybe that’s the problem. People need to go back to giving out ass kickings to jackasses.

But we live in this world. I had a friend with a little sister. The little sister wanted to get back at her parents, so she reported she was abused. It was a false accusation. All fun and games until child protective services comes along. When all the little sister needed was an actual whipping.

I have seen people do things like that in the past....disgusting. I have even heard of people poking holes in people's gas tank because they were pissed at them. People used to key cars too, at least that did not create a dangerous situation but still it was not right at all.

It is good that someone informed the people that it had happened, with a nail, it could go flat when they are on the highway and cause an action. There is a delay in the symptoms appearing.

If I saw someone do that, I would sit there and wait for the person to come out or call the cops.

Working in the trades for decades I have many stories of incidences of sabotaging coworkers trucks and equipment.
Mostly in good fun, even when fecal matter involved.
If this was a rando nobody I hope they caught them on camera.

Yeppers. No repercussions for bad behavior. Normal people walking on egg shells trying not to upset the radicals. We've been conditioned well. It won't be easy to fix either. These nuts have gotten their way for far too long. And you can't just haul off and give someone a knuckle sandwich because they royally piss you off, although if that would have happened all along, things might not be quite so crazy now.

One car was waiting for a another car to pull out from a parking spot, the lady behind was honking her horn and yelling, when the car pulled out, the lady drove around the waiting car and stole parking spot! People are whackadoos.
