i have come to the conclusion is that they have a bunch of new and old junk, and ships that can't reach to far out or have to be towed by tugs to where they are going and then become sitting sucks.

Lots of little ships and junk....

Their aircraft carriers are a long way from being a threat, and one of the big problems is their plane can hardly take off of one with both fuel and bombs, so it is one or the other.

Are you suggesting we will be invaded and taken over?

If so why will our allies just stand by and watch?

Who do you think will be ceasing England to be England?

What will the oppressor hope to gain from our nation?

No, your leadership will stand by and watch. It seems they are dead set on eliminating your culture, and thus your nation.

and who will our useless leaders be standing by and watching?

or are you suggesting the nation will just collapse because....?

Does it make any sense to float around on the ocean when space based weapons exist?

Yes.
Space based satellites are relatively easy targets to eliminate.
The US Air Force already has a few planes that use cameras to take a close look at satellites as they pass overhead. Good bet a weapon has been developed to take it out.. laser? 🤔

No-one can deny that the UK's armed forces have been under funded for quite some time now.
Every government from Thatcher onwards has cut budgets and numbers, largely against the wishes of the British people.
That is a trend that needs to stop immediately and we need to start increasing spending across the board, including numbers.
But it needs to be spent wisely and on quality state of the art weapons and machinery whilst not compromising on the exceptionally high quality of training given to personel, we can not bow down to current woke sensibilities.

The Falklands?
Ha ha, Argentina are welcome to try.
Their military is in a worse state than it was back in 82 and their economy is just as #ed if not worse.
And The Falklands are much better defended now than what they were back when Argentina foolishly chose to test British resolve with all three branches of the Armed Services having a permanent presence on the Islands.

Next; who are we under threat from?
Are people alluding to the presence of Muslims within the UK?
If so its worth noting that 85% of the UK is White and only approximately 5% are Muslim - they are massively outnumbered.
I think the tide is turning, the weight of popular opinion will prevail - that doesn't mean repressive measures will be taken against Muslims, as long as they are respectful, law abiding citizens who are legally here, which the majority are, they should face no discrimination or repressive measures but gradually we'll see a stop to the pandering to special interest groups, minorities and the open door immigration policy that is having a detrimental effect on this country.

And finally; don't ever under estimate the resolve and fighting spirit of the British people....when the chips are down, everything is going tits up and its backs against the wall, that's when we come to the fore and are to be feared.
Dismiss us at your peril.

Argentina's military is in a far worse state today than it was back then.

Looks like they will try the diplomatic route:

I don’t think the real issue is the state of the Argentina military as much as the state of the British military.
Britain would not be able to conduct an operation similar to the Falklands today.

On a side note, there are several things I’ve learned from history.
Never underestimate the resolve of British, Canadian and American people to do what is needed when the SHTF. Something I believe all came from that British heritage.🍺

The UK wouldn't want to conduct an operation like the Falklands war again. Due to the failure to adequately protect the islands it was forced into fighting a difficult offensive campaign, relying heavily on infantry at the end of a very long supply chain.

Argentina no longer has a realistic capability to take to Falklands against the UK forces that are there. That is a much better situation for the UK to be in.

We have four Typhoons stationed nearby for which the Argentinas Air Force would be no match, two new Aircraft Carriers which I think are now operational and modern attack subs.

You are right about our resolve as a people, not so sure about our Government.

Regarding The Falklands we wouldn't have to.
Fortress Falklands has a permanent deployment of Typhoon fighters along with support craft.
The runway at Mt Pleasant has been widened and extended to accommodate all long range aircraft.
The detachment is armed with modern Sky Sabre SAM's and significant radar and detection systems.
There is a constant naval presence and Astute class nuclear submarines can be there in days if needed.

There is always a permanent British Army presence on the Islands.

If there is ever a need to transport large numbers of troops and equipment we can always commandeer and adapt merchant vessels if The Royal Navy was unable to do so.

Not only are we resolute and spirited we are also supremely adaptable and resourceful.

I think you are 100% correct.....but I'd just add, I'd include our cousins from Australia and New Zealand as well. Both are incredibly loyal and not to be messed with.

And, not forgetting, the Gurkha's.

My Dad's brother was an Officer in the Gurkha's.

He was killed fighting somewhere in Indonesia. After WW2.

I had his Kukri, until my brother snaffled it.....

That was one Hell of a weapon.

Gurkha's are a fearsome fighting force. Their reputation has been earned over more than two centuries of loyal and incredibly brave service fighting for the UK.
They deserve our utmost respect.

They are regularly stationed at Catterick Garrison which isn't that far from where I live. When they are there they are regular visitors to my town and always get a warm and grateful reception from everybody. I've never heard anything negative about them or them ever disgracing themselves or their uniform.....unlike some regiments I could mention.
