Why Pardon Hunter ? Why risk the fallout?

The Hunter Biden pardon is on the surface sort of obvious….. Yes Hunter is Biden's son so of course Joe is going to pardon him .

But at the same time I’m not sure I understand why Biden felt the need to Pardon Hunter ….

Hunter's alleged crimes were not that serious , Some tax stuff and a gun crime. These are not exactly Maximum detention federal prison time crimes. Could Hunter have done time in prison ? Yes. Would Hunter have actually done time in Prison ? lol of course not . Now If Hunter’s actual crimes were brought to the surface , Then boy oh boy he’d be tried for Treason but that is neither here nor there . It was never going to happen because his crimes implicated many many people including his Father, a sitting President .

What I don’t understand is why would Biden risk the political fallout just to pardon Hunter from a slap on the wrist ?

I know I’m missing something obvious here. I just don’t see it

And Biden did not see other consequences. Now Hunter is no longer able to plead the fifth before any congressional inquiries.

He cannot incriminate himself on those charges so he must answer all questions or face other charges for not answering.

The barn door is wide open now. When will the truth just wonder out and be seen for what it is?

What's interesting is, because the pardon was not specific to selected crimes, Hunter has now lost his 5th Amendment privileges for any and all crimes committed during this time. This means he's fair game for grand juries until hell freezes over!

Biden's lawyers must be stroking out about now!

Now it's...anything and everything you ever wanted to know about Joe Biden and the cartel, well, just subpoena Hunter. As a matter of fact, just get him a motel room at Motel 6 down the street from DC cuz he's gonna' be up on the Hill every day for the rest of his life.

That is only good to Dec 1 this year.

So new charges would not be covered under it...so testify or face new charges.

No, just Hunter's crimes during that time period. All evidence about those crimes that can be applied to charging anyone else are free for him to spill without legal consequences for himself and he cannot plead the fifth for protection.
If I were him, I would be demanding protective custody and witness protection immediately. He now is a huge target.

Now you may not believe me here but I agree with you. His convictions were rather minor and basically a walk in the front door, say hello, turn around and walk out kind of incarceration. So your question stands and along with it your answer, that there is more to this that could come forth .

Hunter knows his dad is "The Big guy," so he could put the big guy in the slammer for decades if "the Big Guy." failed to help him out. So he probably made "The Big Guy" an offer he could not refuse, "release me or I'll squeal to high heaven."

Biden, the dumbass that he is, had to rush the pardon before Hunter’s December 4th sentencing date.

The biggest problem with it, besides the fact that Hunter now cannot invoke his 5th amendment right against self incrimination, is that the POTUS cannot…

1) Pardon themselves
2) Grant self-protective pardons, or those that would have the intent and effect of impeding an investigation into themselves or their interests, amounting to a self pardon
3) Use pardons to subvert individual liberties protected by the Bill of Rights
4) Use pardons to prevent courts from enforcing orders to protect those rights

You will see many disturbing images on X today. Not sure why they weren't posted b4 today, but they are. I suppose they were always there if you were willing to look hard enough. THe pics I have seen today made me sick to my stomach. I am sure we will see it all eventually.

The laptop, among many other pieces of evidence, will be used to indict and prosecute not Hunter, but the accomplices around him. The pardon, also exposes Biden himself to immunity deals by defendants who wish to take cover from Hunter's newfound revocation of his 5th Amendment rights.

I can't even begin to understand why any legal counsel to Biden would have allowed the pardon to be worded like this. It seems almost like Biden worded it himself without proper legal consultation. I could be wrong, but I don't see an upside for the Biden cartel in this pardon, only multiple downsides.

The "Big Guy" could step on stage tomorrow and say he has been diagnosed with some terminal affliction and only has weeks to live, but this doesn't do anything for all the OTHER people who have been complicit with the cartel for decades. THOSE are the guys who are really skeered tonight!

And their Get Out Of Jail Free card with Hunter has just been voided!

Hunter Biden will not sleep in the coming months. He will be dancing like Mean Gene the Dancin' Machine from now into the 2030's. (BTW. "Mean Gene the Dancin' Machine" is a comical reference to the spoof 70's game show, The Gong Show, hosted by Chuck Barris...for you youngin's)
