There's actually a funny bit of trivia about this video.

The video was shot before the Bangles hit it big, and Hoffs had a pretty big case of stage fright at the time. The video is famous in part because of Hoffs eyes, but this was totally unintentional on her part. With the crowd, and the group not knowing how their song would be received, coupled with all the cameras for the video rolling, Hoffs was terrified. When she opens her eyes and looks both right and left she was actually looking at the band's manager and the video production / direction crew just offstage and out of frame to see if their performance looked okay...or if they were frantically waving their arms for them to do something different on stage.

The video captures Hoff's eyes darting quickly from left to right every time she got up to solo on the mic. Ironic that this became one of the defining elements of the video.

Always thought this was kind of a funny behind the scenes bit of trivia.

Respectfully, turn off your media. No screen = no Taylor Swift. Read a book, drink some coffee (or a brewski) and enjoy some quiet time on your porch.

Better yet, round up the gang and get out in the woods with your tool of choice. It's deer season. No swifties allowed.

Trust me, I'm not eating any Rolaids over Swift or the media. I just find it a little surprising and a bit annoying to see her face on any media you choose to look at for things like poll results, sports scores or other current events. She's really not the center of the Universe, despite millions believing the exact opposite.

I mean, Joe Rogan is an entertainer and chimes in on current events from time to time.

I don’t take any weight in his, or Taylor’s opinions. They’re celebrity entertainers.

Do they not have a right to have an opinion just because they’re entertainers? No, we all get to speak out as citizens.

Do they carry more? Nope.

Your topic is the only Taylor Swift related media I've seen all week. Maybe delete some cookies, clear your cache and history etc. Often media you've consumed previously informs the media you're currently browsing so you have to "cleanse the palate" on occasion.

You're right, sometimes I forget everything on the internet is a joke and a parody of IRL and nobody who is exhibiting stress is really struggling with life or media or money. It's all just a series of comedy sketches, like a TikTok feed. Or somebody who spent 15 hours in an extended deep dive on Reddit and Wikipedia and now they're a psychiatric expert. But occasionally I have an urge to try and offer... Something. Call it wisdom, call it common sense, call it meddling, it's me trying and sometimes trying is the best thing I do all day. As the kids say, sorry not sorry

If Taylor Swift just stayed in her 'lane' then I would agree with you, but she doesn't. She made it a point to use her popularity to lobby for the democrats. Her "lane" is entertainment and music...not politics. Again, thus the OP.

She almost certainly only publicly endorsed Kamala because Trump posted a cgi picture of her and claimed she was endorsing him. Who wouldn’t get annoyed about that?
