It's not just one guy.

thehill.com...

There were some tense moments on Saturday when volunteers witnessed an armed group of people confronting and threatening FEMA workers in the Elk Mills community of Carter County in Tennessee.

“They were armed — they were all open-carry — they had surrounded [the FEMA workers] and there was a lady that was yelling at them and threatening them,” Elder said.

This sort of behavior is unacceptable. The FEMA workers are there to help people in a time of crisis. They are not there to be harassed by anyone. And if people are trying to intimidate workers then FEMA has to do the responsible thing and protect the people working for them. Now I don't like that the workers were told to bypass homes with Trump signs. FEMA heads should of figured something out with the National Guard, police or private security to keep workers safe while they did their jobs.

I believe that's how FEMA works somewhat. And the Governor of the State is who handles disaster emergencies. Along with local county governments. At least that's what I saw living in Miami. But Miami is a different animal. South Florida is prepared for the worst always.

Contracts I've worked on were for a set period of time. Around 36 months. And they always had work until about the end of the contract. FDIC was like this. We were busy up to the point where the contract was ending. They wanted to save money by selling the REO bank assets, from failed banks, in bulk to investors. Instead of trying to rehab the properties to sellable condition and sell to the public.

All quotes from your link…

Open carrying a weapon isn’t any kind of threat.
It’s a daily occurrence in many places and even more so when there’s an emergency and looters are a reality.
Just because you feel threatened does not mean anybody threatened you.
One lady yelling at them does not constitute a threat nor should it provoke a 911 call.

During the confrontation, Elder did call 911 because she said the group wasn’t being rational.

“Hey Mr policeman, please send officers because people aren’t being rational.” 🤡

FEMA workers skip Trump supporters houses and get yelled at.
Rational people recognize that those FEMA workers made out pretty well if all they got was yelled at by one lady.
Snowflakes gonna snowflake.

It sounds like a whole bunch of make-up crap, I will like to see the video of the soo call confrontation, maybe it was some people that do not trust government agencies, is plenty of them that is for sure.

I am surprised that is not video of the unruly citizens, BTW after a disaster you bet your, but people will be carrying weapons to protect their properties.

Tell that to the police that pull guns on people who are open carrying legally.

You were not there. You don't know what was said. You can snowflake all you want. But you don't know the situation. Don't be so dismissive.

first off, this wasn't FEMA.

Elder said once the group realized that FEMA wasn’t taking those donations, and that the command center was run by volunteers, they left and surprisingly returned later with supplies to donate.

And being pissed off isn't a crime. So what we have here, is proof that ONE GUY threatened a FEMA person, and was arrested. Unless you have more.

And that is how cops get shot by law abiding citizens. An open carry could be an off-duty cop! My dad was a cop for years (not in an open carry state) and always carried a pistol when off-duty. Reason behind it was that he was never really off-duty just out of uniform. So cops pulling guns and overreacting is a problem when there is no threat and cops in open carry states would be familiar with the act. In other words they would not have the knee-jerk reaction someone that is not used to seeing guns (like yourself) would have.

It's also unacceptable for FEMA to take supplies that didn't belong to them but were already being distributed and were not provided by FEMA. I would use my guns too, to protect my towns supplies from being stolen by FEMA.
