Well, this is interesting!

Trump has every right to choose his own team based on the mandate he received from voters. To overcome the opposition from within his own party, his team is exploring two key alternatives to ensure his Cabinet members can take office: using JD Vance's role as President of the Senate to take control of the chamber or invoking his constitutional authority to adjourn Congress, which would allow for recess appointments.

You are spot-on. And new incoming Senate Majority Leader THUNE said on Fox News this evening he will enable President Trump to make Recess Appointments. I'm going to start a thread on recess appointments, because many don't know what that means, and liberals who do know, are having spasms over Trump doing this next year.

I am afraid he will not get confirmed, I am sure that members of the ethics committee will be called to testified and the information they hold on Gaetz will be liked, if is incriminatory.

You could be right. I am interested to see how this plays out. Politics is a tough dirty business.

Yes they can keep it secret, but they can leak them out, that is expected.

Absolutely. šŸ‘
There are so many ways for Trump to win here and get the people he wants in there.
Gaetz could be a red herring to give the senate something to fight over while the rest of his picks cruise in.
He could also become senator gaetz if they kick him and DeSantis puts him in there.
Then Trump puts Jeff Clark in there which would make the democrats heads really explode.
Thereā€™s also some interesting things about Gaetz resignation.
Technically heā€™s resigned from his current term.
Question is, does that necessarily pertain to his next term too?
Could be arguments both ways there so even though he resigned, he might be able to go right back in and serve the whole of his next term.
If I had to put money on it, Iā€™d say Trump gives the senate the chance to do right and confirm them all.
If the senate wonā€™t play then Trump will recess appoint the ones who couldnā€™t get the votes.
Clinton did 139.
Bush did 171.
Barry did 32.
Itā€™s not uncommon at all.

"Leaks" that must officially viewed as rumors, unless Gaetz himself confirms them to be true.

TRY to appreciate the HUGENESS of what Senate Majority Speaker-elect Thune said this evening...

'All the options' are on the table to get Trump's Cabinet picks through confirmation, says Sen. John Thune

If anyone needs help with understanding the scope of what Thune said, scan the liberal media outlets' websites.

All these freak outs by career politicians over the Trump picks only exposes their pathetic double standards. They are only now crying out when someone is picked who might be a real or perceived threat to their continued tax payer funded looting schemes and back room gravy trains, and a lot of other even bigger things like lawfare against citizens and those opposing their radical immoral agendas.

Both Clinton and Bush fired all or almost all US Attorneys... thus the amount of recess appointments there.

I expect Trump to do the same.

President-elect Trump has assembled almost his entire cabinet within 8 days of being elected, in a Popular Vote Landslide.

The nomination that is generating the most "chatter" is that of Congressman MATT GAETZ (R-FL) for the position of U.S. Attorney General, overseeing the entire Department of Justice and Law Enforcement across the United States. FROM PRESIDENT-elect DONALD TRUMP today...

"It is my Great Honor to announce that Congressman Matt Gaetz, of Florida, is hereby nominated to be The Attorney General of the United States.

Matt is a deeply gifted and tenacious attorney, trained at the William & Mary College of Law, who has distinguished himself in Congress through his focus on achieving desperately needed reform at the Department of Justice.

Few issues in America are more important than ending the partisan Weaponization of our Justice System. Matt will end Weaponized Government, protect our Borders, dismantle Criminal Organizations and restore Americansā€™ badly-shattered Faith and Confidence in the Justice Department.

On the House Judiciary Committee, which performs oversight of DOJ, Matt played a key role in defeating the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, and exposing alarming and systemic Government Corruption and Weaponization.

He is a Champion for the Constitution and the Rule of Law. Matt will root out the systemic corruption at DOJ, and return the Department to its true mission of fighting Crime, and upholding our Democracy and Constitution.

We must have Honesty, Integrity, and Transparency at DOJ. Under Mattā€™s leadership, all Americans will be proud of the Department of Justice once again!"

---------------

From FOX NEWS This Afternoon...

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., resigned from the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., announced.

Gaetz gave House GOP leaders his resignation notice on the same day President-elect Donald Trump tapped him to be his attorney general, Johnson said.

"I think out of deference to us, he issued his resignation letter effective immediately," Johnson said. "That caught us by surprise a little bit. But I asked him what the reasoning was, and he said, well, you can't have too many absences."

The speaker pointed out that Florida state law gave the governor "about an eight-week period" to fill a House vacancy and that by doing so, "we may be able to fill that seat as early as Jan. 3."

MSNBC's legal people are blasting Gaetz today, which verifies what a fantastic job Donald J. Trump did in picking him for A.G.!

One Example from MSNBC: www.msnbc.com...

I'll add more reactions and information related to the GAETZ Attorney General nomination as they surface.

Attorney General MATT GAETZ's TOP WARRIORS ANNOUNCED...

A very strategic plan for Main Justice transition delivered today by President Trump.

President Trump has announced Deputy AG Todd Blanche to be #2 in charge behind Matt Gaetz, and Emil Bove to serve as interim Acting DAG in case the Senate drag their feet on confirmations.

This makes a very quick transition period in Main Justice, with President Trump officials immediately taking charge.

With nominated Attorney General Matt Gaetz as the Mother of all Bombs (MOAB), in comes the insurance policy, Todd Blanche, as the A-10 Warthog strafing the scattering Lawfare members. Emil Bove flying the circling Specter above the battlefield.

This Main Justice plan has been in the works for a long time. You can clearly see it.

Yep the liberals in the media that by now is obvious that their opinions were irrelevant to the American voters, cannot stop spewing trash about Trumps appointees,

I wonder when they are going to realized they are obsolete, because the American voted made their opinions along with Hollywood trash obsolete.

I love watching the meltdown.

Thune said this evening during a Fox News interview, his intent is to do whatever it takes to get President Trump's nominees confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

See: www.foxnews.com...

Maybe Thune had a change of heart, after looking at the election heat map and numbers in more detail this afternoon!
