Will President Joseph R Biden step down from the Presidency to give the reigns to Kamala Harris?

There are former staffers calling for this to happen, for Biden to step down and let Harris be president, even if only for a few months.

www.foxnews.com...

They want to ease the blow on Harris for her humiliating loss to President Donald J. Trump. They want her to not have to oversee and certify the transition of power on J6 in the months to come. They don't think she could handle it.

"This is something within Joe Biden‘s control. If he did it, it would, again, fulfill his last promise and give Kamala Harris a chance to be the 47th President of the United States of America.

She already had her chance, and she blew it. She was given the opportunity to run, she did, and she failed. What more does he "owe" her at this point? Why would someone who has stabbed him in the back, and made him look even worse for how the last few years have been handled, expect to get anything more from him than he has already given?

But, if by some miracle, they convince Biden to go through with this, what good could possibly come from it?

Would Trump be able to say he "beat" the incumbent?

There is nothing she would be able to push through in the next 2-3 months that could change anything about the results.

In my opinion, the only thing this would accomplish would to further the point that Harris was a DEI hire from the get go. He awarded her this office of VP because she was a woman of color, and if this goes through, he would be giving her the presidency to make her the "1st female president" by default, not because she actually earned it, but because the left are sore losers and are going to try and make things as difficult as possible for the next couple motnhs.

Sorry I couldn't resist

I said on election night that the 2 happiest people were probably Biden and Kamala.

Imagine joining what is essentially a criminal mafia that you can't defy. They say run for president and that's what you do. The alternative is more scary *shudders*

They say step down and that's what you do.

Biden is certainly more coherent than he's been in a long time now.

It would be quite the gimmick to artificially carry Kamala over the goal line at this point...which is probably exactly why they'll do it. These people don't believe in fair play and merit.

I don't know if he will or not. Would Harris get much more in retirement perks as POTUS for a few months vs her current VP status? I guess the permanent security detail might be a perk for her.

Harris is lame, but no duck. Biden is/has been completely out of the picture except to serve in more ceremonial duties as the nation's figurehead. He is a lame duck. At this stage, it's difficult to see how their actions will have any significant, far-reaching impact beyond serving their own personal interests and agendas. Which is par for the course so, what's new? I don't see any positives for the country to go through a joke of a transition of power but they will do what they do. I also don't see Jill letting Biden off the hook for such a short time. The holidays are coming up, a new POTUS will be installed shortly.

The only reasons that would benefit her is if she truly believes she needs protection after leaving office. But, then again, they are also talking about appointing her to the Supreme Court. Where she would also get protection, albeit by the Marshal service but still protection.

There is no benefit to having either of them in office anymore. Biden's 40+ years in politics with nothing substantial to show for it and Harris has nothing to show for anything she has "done" in office.

I don't see Biden stepping down and giving that idiot the presidency that she doesn't deserve.

She is a 2 bit DEI hack.

Everyone is still trying to figure out what her policies would have been.

She ran through a BILLION dollars running a bullsh!t campaign and there isn't a nicer person that it could have happened to.

I don't understand how you run through so much funding in such a short amount of time running a losing campaign.

She told everyone what her policies would have been in one of the few interviews she "did";

"I am not Joe Biden, and I'm certainly not Donald Trump" That was her answer.....

Going to be great come J6 when she has to certify her own a$$-whoopin

I hope she is choking back tears every time she has to say Donald Trump's name.

I have no sympathy at all for her or the rest of con artist Democrats.

They scammed this country in 2020 with 15 million fraudulent votes and they need to pay for that.

Supposedly, she was paying large sums for all the celebs that appeared at her rallies. Supposedly, Alanis Morissette's check bounced late in the campaign. Cause here's the thing even if a celeb appears for free a real performance needs more than a microphone, so it all looked like a cluster---- because they thought it would attract the low-propensity voter.

It didn't work she didn't flip one red county in Georgia and spent time money and energy in Augusta and Savannah neither of thier counties stayed blue from 2020 they both flipped red

Trump got the clean sweep on swing states, she had no chance.

Once he got PA, it was over.

All she did was successfully waste money on a no win situation. But, dems are good at doing that

Maybe she will try to be like Whoopi and refuse to say his name.

It will be one for the record books, that's for sure

Not going to happen. Joe really dislikes her for all she said about him when she ran for President, he also got a big FU from the party with his removal. More importantly Jill hates her with a passion, and I think Joe is looking to clear Hunter if he can when a President typically pardons people in his last days.

I don't think Biden will step down.
In his mind, it would hurt his legacy to not serve a full term.
Also...he likely hates Kamala.

Trump didn't win states, he crushed states. There is a difference.

If Joe can't pardon Hunter, Trump should do it.

I bet that will be part of the conversation on Wednesday between Trump and Biden.

I would not be surprised, even with his promise to not pardon Hunter if he was convicted, if he does go through with it. As you said with that big middle finger he got with being booted out and all of the hate being thrown his way the last couple months, I think he might be looking to send one right back their way by the end of it all.

I honestly almost feel bad for the guy, he has been cast aside by his own party for someone worse than him.

Biden's biggest talking point going into their meeting is that Trump continue aid to Ukraine.

I'm sure that will be most of what he talks about, that and how much they both despise Harris and how happy Biden is that Trump absolutely wiped the floor with her.

Also, if it makes backstabbing Democrats happy, Biden won't do it.
