I See a Different Attitude This Time Around with Congress

Looking back most of us can agree that when Trump was elected the Liberals hated him a good deal, so they were ready to do anything possible to see him fail no matter what it may do to the country in the process. All of Trump's top agenda items were pushed back on so hard it was surprising he got anything done at all. Even with all that he still was successful, but not at a level that it could have been with some support from Congress.

Liberals was a no sh!t thing, BUT we also saw it on the Republican side at almost the same level. Republican Congress was also in no way motivated to help Trump in anything. The deep state was DEEP and it looked like they were willing to just let Trump flounder in office and try again in 2020. I felt that the Republican Congress wanted Hillary over Trump, and they too were pissed when it all collapsed. Even with both the House and Senate Trump spent years trying to fill needed cabinet members and the only ones the Senate would approve was "their" picks where most turned out to be bad for Trump in the end. To Trump's credit he fired a good deal as he was trying to get good people in the right jobs and the Senate as a whole was just not willing to do that. I think many positions were NEVER filled in four years. This was just another way to handicap Trump on many levels that both the Liberals and Republicans were a part of.

Come forward to 2024 and I'm seeing a much different environment. Trump has all of Congress in a HUGE electoral mandate from the people and Congress is already processing his Cabinet members, and this time around he already has a large number of good people from all sides coming to him in support. I see how this ran in 2016 that just lagged along for 4 years compared to what we are seeing today as we are going to get an energized President with the backing of Congress, and majority of voters ready to help him succeed. This will be huge as he gets his agenda put in place and finally after maybe 20 years there looks to be a smooth-running machine in our government that we could see massive improvements and changes that everyone will say damn that is good.

i have to disagree to a point, yes the rino's in the house didn't help and in fact some sided with the dem ones, and if they didn't couldn't have helped much if they tried. the senate on the other hand even though they may have had ulterior motives kept him from being convicted on the impeachment charges twice, and now he'll be president once again with lets hope with the full backing of both chambers.

his first term was a sh!t show for a while, until he learned a little about DC. But the learning curve is much easier this time. He knows who he can't trust. Trick will be, finding who he can.

True on the impeachment part, but that was something they had to stop no matter what. They didn't want to remove him, but there were enough Republicans in the Senate that wanted him to not be successful. And a big part of that was either pushing crappy people on him in his cabinet or just not filling many positions. If a person was trying to run a business with a bunch of poor workers while trying to run the business on only 70% needed, things don't go well.

We see restaurants with low staffing, and they will put out a sign saying they are closed the next 2 or 3 days due to no staffing. Then you go there, and the workers suck because that is all the restaurants can get, and you do not go back. And boy did the Rhinos come out of the woodwork under Trump, and these people really wanted Hillary anyways.

This is the part I see a big change in this time around with Trump.

The biggest enemy and some one that needs to be erased from the senate and eradicate him is Mitch McConnell, that rino hates Trump and was one of the reason Trump no only had to fight Pelosi in the house in his first term but also Mitch McConnell the traitor in the senate.

Right after Trump wont he elections, the rino and traitor Mitch McConnell called a coup against Trump agenda by calling early leadership elections in the senate. Two of the three candidates hate Trump and what he ran on. One of them, John Cornyn, is an angry liberal that is just another Liz Cheney’s.

'What the hell?' Far right 'outraged' as Mitch McConnell 'engineers a coup' against Trump

It will be interesting as McConnell is out of power to see if the RINOs will still have any sway. They were just as big of a hurdle as the Democrats.

Congress is much more favorable to Trump now.

The old guard Democrats and RINOs have made bank since the 90s no matter who the President was. They clued each other in on whatever financing schemes popped up like Haiti, go look every RINO voted in lock step with the administration or they abstained. Same for Ukraine funding

There is great potential in the incoming administration.

Everything many people wanted, including D's and R's
abandoning party lines and pledging to work together
for the better of the people.

We will find out how deep the DS goes.

Maybe to the center of the earth where
there is fire and brimstone.

Im not worried about the House, its the senate that mitch is trying to sabotage that will make or break the next 2 years.
