Here's the sobering thing for me. The Democrats just ran arguably the worst presidential candidate in history under bizarre and unprecedented circumstances and and they still pulled over 70 million votes. That's a bad sign. I can't bring myself to celebrate that it wasn't the worst possible outcome. I'll try to mentally shake off the slime of the recent past and return to some sense of normalcy, whatever that means in this era. I'm not optimistic I'll be successful.

The natural state of being American is being "normal". (Apple Pie, Parades, Neighborly, etc..)

As a result, the nation overall will return to being "normal" very quickly.

Just like America rebounded very fast after Democrats shut down the economy in 2020/2021. Our country is naturally productive and prosperous. Remove the oppression, and upwards we soar! It's who we are.

No, not true. Pelosi DID want an open floor primary at the convention. That was her hope and position all along.
Google it from right after Biden dropped out, it was pretty well reported.

She wanted an open convention where states made nominations and the entire body would vote to narrow down the number of nominees. Followed by nominations of a smaller number and vote and a smaller number and vote until a candidate was nominated by ovation. It would have been a whole different scene. And then again, maybe not.

Banking on the popularity of Clinton in the 90s the plan was to follow with eight years of his VP Gore followed by eight more years of the Missus. See, Slick Willy had charisma but Gore didn't and Bushy was a famous sports millionaire and son of his daddy. The Missus had no charisma at all and she dressed like a man. Oh yeah, toss in John Kerry Who, Mr. Boring-on-a-stick and Obama shows up and steals it from them.

They have relied on the first of everything for too long. The first black this the first Hispanic that, the first kazoo playing seven fingered umphlumpha. All they have tried to do is find whatever emerging minority they could find to promote one more first of something.

I don't think Biden wanted to run in 16. He was the last to announce and only then because the rest of the crowd in that years candidates was sad at best. Gabbard was my choice but no chance because The Missus did not like her. So what did the Dems do? They picked Biden to capitalize on what they hoped would be a carry over of Obama love and then who got picked for VP, Harris. In Harris they reverted to the old first of something but in her they found a two/fer, first woman and first woman of color. A sure winner.

He should have quit after his first year and let her step in but I think she was nothing but show. And that left them when he lost it to dementia with a loser who couldn't even dance as well as Trump and that says one hell of a lot right there. Couldn't even dance as well as Trump. OMG.

Pelosi forgot to check history before pushing out Biden. This now makes the 3rd time an presidential incumbent dropped out of the race after getting the nomination. Each time they were democrats, and each time their replacement candidates lost the election.

There were a lot of Harris yard signs where I live. I get the globalist and their minions (Pelosi) but I can't understand the support Harris got. Very disturbing.

I know those who cheer for the left don't do "self reflection", but if they ever did, thinking about why nobody would admit Biden wasn't playing with a full deck much earlier on, as the entire world witnesses on many occasions, would have allowed those in power to steer him in the direction of ending his run after one term, as he promised when he was elected. (after running only because of the lie told about "very fine people")

Once the left gravitates toward the final phase of grief, I hope they will realize the lies are what got them in the end. Telling a lie is one thing, but gaslighting when everyone can see the truth, is another, and that's what we have had. People have had enough. It won't fly anymore. If you want to win, come up with policies that help the people and not just the people you want to make rich. And quit lying.

How many democrat cities with horrible high school dropout rates, high crime, and in debt keep electing democrats? With voting precincts voting almost 100 percent democrat. You can’t fix stupid.

The Dems fleeced money from the Haiti disaster and the Arab Spring among other issues then here came Ukraine and Obama's epiphany that Russia was nothing but a gas station that could be exploited

Then here came Trump and he upset the well-set-up "applecart". Everything got put on hold, but during the Obama years, Biden was able to watch the Barrack get enriched right after Cheney, Bush, and the RINOs and connected Dems like himself got a taste. It's easy to see Ukraine being set up as the next laundromat but the Dems had to jettison Trump who while no angel himself, didn't have the financial motivations the other politicians did. Trump had his pet projects all leaders do, but he never had the backing of the RINOs or the Dems to implement them, and COVID-19 manufactured or organic was taken advantage of to spread enough questions spoiling his re-election campaign.

It was all there for the taking and the Democrats raised billions to anoint connected Biden as the new President, as long as they could dodge a scandal or 2.
