I haven't totally written Trump off,

Glad to hear that. Being skeptical is always a good approach. Jan. 20th Trump will be sworn in for his second term and he has set the bar high, calling his second term the begining of America's Golden Age.

I'm not "anti Trump". Obviously, I invested a lot of time researching & posting for another thread, here. Am I disgruntled? Yes, very. Very skeptical, too. I think my skepticism is justified. I haven't totally written Trump off, I still hold a sliver of hope but I'm not going to be a cheerleader like I was the first time around. Making empty promises is a deal breaker for me. So, yes, I'll watch how it plays out but if it goes sideways, I'm not going to sit in denial like so many did the first time around. Either Trump does what he claims he intends to do or he's just another deep state lackey. There's no other alternative at this point.

It was easy to see how everything was stonewalled his first time. There are other alternatives.

do I think trump will get everything accomplished that was promised no, best case scenario he will be somewhere around 1/3rd.

But if he stands by his word and unleashes RFK on the FDA (PLEASE let that happen) and vivek and elon as the pink slip delivering folks we will have a good start.

Lastly breaking up the bureaucratic state cannot be done in 4 years, might not be able to get it done in 10 years with the court cases that are going to happen.

But we have to start somewhere.

I voted trump because the other option was not survivable for the republic.

I don't know how things work in your world but in my world, trust isn't given, it's earned. If you want to earn trust, you keep your word. It's pretty cut & dry. If you don't expect this from your President or your government or yourself, you're lowering your standards. You're compromised. If our government is a reflection of our collective values & standards, is it any wonder our government is so corrupted?

If Trump sincerely wants to see a swift, dramatic change, all he has to do is stand by the truth. We are owed transparency. Expose the crimes and corruption. I'm sick of the excuse, "people aren't ready for the truth, people can't handle the truth". We'll be the judge of that. We'll decide whether or not to dismantle this government. If people aren't prepared or willing to take on that responsibility then we're not worthy of the freedoms we have. Let it all burn to the ground. I'll happily light the match.

I'm tired of all the lies, the secrecy, the ambiguity, the theatrics and the excuses. I have no tolerance for it, anymore. No one should.

On another note, I just saw this post. If Trump declares a national emergency, that's a good sign. Now we're heading in the right direction

As for this ... global economic collapse is still on the menu

Okay.

If Trump's second term ends up merely a repeat of his first term with a continuation of the same mistakes, the Republic may not survive at all. So maybe leniency and lowered expectations isn't the best approach this time around.

Just a thought

flailing your arms wildly, and screaming "the dictator won! We are all doomed!!!" is obviously the correct way forward.

The tolerant Liberals will bash her just like they do all Conservative women.

I really didn't expect Mark Cuban to say something as stupid as that but they always seem to out do themselves.

Edit - I didn't know she was Pat Summerall's daughter.

I thought Kamalas husband would get a cheap thrill and a ‘kick’ out of that first paragraph 😂 maybe he will share one of those with his wife, hopefully the cheap thrill bit and not the kick bit 😳

Versus a candidate that thinks price controls is a good idea.

that couldnt comprehend that higher energy prices in a nation where the bulk of goods is moved via big rig, plays a huge part in the cost of goods.

that was pushing the green new deal and ready to sign onto 15 min cities.

he could be a total failure and we would still be in a better spot than if the dems gotten what they wanted.

I always loved Pat Summerall, when his playin' days came to the end he became a kicker...now that is someone who loved the game. He was Madden's faithful sidekick and for us football fans there was no better crew to call the game we love. Can we have some fun with Susie....

LOL...that video went right over my head! Is this Susie, Trump's Chief of Staff?

Did you see where Biden said he called Trump to congratulate him and promised to help him in any way during the transition

I think Biden is pissed how about they forced him out for the DEI loser.

Plus he probably thinks if he kisses Trump's ass a little bit, he'll stay on his good side temporarily.

You're on the right path. A potentially momentusly historic meeting between BIDEN and TRUMP takes place at the White House, this coming Wednesday November 13th.

Lol, no. Susie was a Seinfeld charector that Peterson and Elaine made very funny. How about Susie?. If you do a search as such you will find a lot of funny clips, or if your not a fan of Seinfeld maybe not. I found it to be funny.

Thankyou for replying. Now I understand! Those type of shows (Seinfeld, Friends, Simpsons, etc.) never appealed to me. Could be an ethnic thing?

The only response I have to that is we're not out of the woods, yet. It's very unlikely that Trump will be able to stop an impending recession or depression. In fact, it's highly likely that Trump is inheriting a failing monetary system which can only be fixed through a total reset. Anyone who thinks we're going back to "normal" is in for a surprise.

Right now you're in the honeymoon phase after your win. But like 2016, the honeymoon phase will end and that's when reality sets in. This win was a little too easy. If you believe his enemies are going to suddenly come to heel, you haven't been paying attention.

I'm just waiting to see how Trump and his futuristic cohort handle the next stage of the transition we're already in.

What I really want is for Trump to turn the entire f$#%!% world upside down.
It's only when people's lives are flipped
When they lose everything
When they hit rock bottom

That they finally choose to WAKE UP

I never watched those shows when they first came out but years ago I used to watch Seinfeld at 11pm reruns before bed during my work week and I just found it funny. They are really terrible people in the show, they play classic narcissists but its just a comedy making fun of life and social norms. To this day I could sit and watch a Seinfeld episode, similar to "Taxi" or "Cheers" some sitcoms are just relaxing. But the Susie reference is uncanny, it was a bit of a theme there for a while. Did you ever watch "The Odd Couple" with Tony Randall & Jack Klugman or ""Mash"? Those were great, watched those reruns as a kid. I loved those sitcoms, they were great.

Thankyou for sharing a perspective I hadn't heard before. "Relaxing" is the first time I've heard those funny shows described in that manner.

Anyway...back to the business of TRANSITION and BUILDING for 2025:

Now that Americans have given Control of the U.S. Senate to REPUBLICANS

See: apnews.com... ,

The "old guard" Republican Senators are telling President Trump to stay out of their process of choosing who will be Senate Majority Leader, since Mitch McConnell is retiring (and is mentally depleted).

Please stay out of this Mr. President-elect: gettr.com...

Because the U.S. Senate has some very unethical immoral characters in top positions, not just any "Republican" as Majority Leader is OK. For example, Mitch McConnell was superb at getting Supreme Court justices approved...but he's not MAGA. Scolded Trump for wanting to send $2,000 to every American during the Pandemic. McConnell only authorized $900, in 12/2020. (Biden came in and sent out $1,200 more in Feb 2021.)

A MAGA-AF Senate Leader is required....Not the "Thune" guy who's seeking the position!

Thune is a Unity Party/RINO, he needs to go.
Trump is going strong, Thune and Mcdingbat had better get out of the way. The Trump team is not playin'' that old school parlimentary bullschiit. I am glad.

Mitch McConnell was superb at getting Supreme Court justices approved...but he's not MAGA

Mitch has been there too long, owes too many favors. I would say what do RFK,jr, Tulsi, Vivek, Elon, Vance and Trump have in common? They owe nothing to nobody except those who voted for their collective cause, to me MAGA is about owing nothing to anyone but the American people, the American way.

Rick Scott from Florida is the guy I have seen regarding being the Senate majority leader and he is a MAGA, Trump guy. I would say, respectfully, if Mitch endorses Thune then that might as well be the kiss of death. Don jr. has callened Mitch...Cocaine Mitch. Mitch is not in any way shape or form a Trump supporter...Mitch is a swamp creature and he is grotesque.
You are right to bring this up wemustcare, Trump needs to...well lets put it this way...Trump needs to not pick the wrong guy. I hope Rick Scott isn't a double agent because I think he is the guy.
