How to put it, thinking the fingers will follow a mind is set in motion rubbing the straws of memory together, notions flowing, mingling with hopes and fears of yester-years, what has been seen and figured washed in light of onrushing reality.

How could it be, no, how can it be for it is there is no denying
this chance to be what might have been a mere puff of smoke
crumpled neath the dream of what never was, oh fallacy, oh lunacy.

Yeats glimpsing the best with little conviction, the worst on electric rooves hollering echoes from top to top, me too, me two, me three, and thee might see its Luna See?

There is a bright face in the sky
That smiles on us all by and by
From our time as a child
It has made us all wild
Then it wans and blinks out, shall we die?

Your childhood is over.
Your childhood is over.
Your childhood is over.
Your childhood is over.
Your childhood is over.
Your childhood is over.

Matthew 18:2-4
New International Version

2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

The fingers set to keyboard yesterday
and as if by magic:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Today, it takes a morbid turn:

Oh Lunar Orb
You silent witness
of our unceasing phases,

We, the loud, loutish
observers of your most
charted and predictable phases
decry the loss of light reflected.

Yet, You have not left us
as we die at diverse times
and in diverse manners.

Most likely still
that you witness
the last whimper
of the last human,
Your phases only slightly
altered by then.

On a lighter note:

Cat Stevens - Moonshadow

Always my favorite Cat Stevens.

I dare say there is an appearance of synchronicity playing along here. I heard that Lunacy this morning for the first time and it just grabbed me.

Another moon flavored piece from 81 hit me hard when it came up on an album I had bought for other tracks on it. This haunts me still.
