DOJ moving to wind down Trump criminal cases before he takes office

you couldn't watch the events that unfolded and not know that it was a political lawfare tactic. so now that Trump is going to be President once again and JD the next one unless there raises up a new Republican super star i dare say were gonna have at least 8 years of prosperity in the U.S..

and this time it will get built back better.

The latest discussions stand in contrast with the pre-election legal posture of special counsel Jack Smith, who in recent weeks took significant steps in the election interference case against Trump without regard to the electoral calendar.

But the sources say DOJ officials have come to grips with the fact that no trial is possible anytime soon in either the Jan. 6 case or the classified documents matter — both of which are mired in legal issues that would likely prompt an appeal all the way to the Supreme Court, even if Trump had lost the election.

Now that Trump will become president again, DOJ officials see no room to pursue either criminal case against him — and no point in continuing to litigate them in the weeks before he takes office, the people said.

I haven't seen any democrat have much luck with guns.

i expect some investigations by Trumps next DOJ to find out just who did what in 2020 and after. maybe he can get it done before people exit to non extradition countries.

Trump knows much of it. Trump told the media he "caught them all". The media went silent, he moved to the next subject. Earlier this year, Trump's attorneys filed a notice in judge Chutkan's court that they would like to reveal to the jury (Trump's J6 trial brought by S.C. Smith) classified intelligence demonstrating the 2020 election steal was REAL.

After 1/20/2025, President Trump will have it all put in a pretty package and revealed to the public...followed by release of the J6 prisoners with each one being compensated for pain and suffering.

Biden is old so we will not push charges, BUT TRUMP we will attack him with everything.
Faked dossier, lying to a FISA judge, wiretapping the republican candidate, years of investigation and it is all good. What about Obama/Clinton doing it all, breaking laws? Nope

We will ignore any idea of voter fraud but give 20 years for anyone within a foot of the door on Jan 6.

This is why there can be no compromise now in the deep dive investigation into what people did.
They are quick to say 'oh we're dropping charges' or 'hey, now you won you have to be a unifier', but there can be no backing off from actually shining a light fully on the corruption.

To me Trump's 2nd term is not not going to be judged on the economy or no wars, stopping wars etc, it's about cleaning up Washington corruption.... a much bigger task and one that has been needed for over 100 years since the Govt was captured by bankers conspiring on a small island to steal US Wealth for the few.

It will all be deleted like the 1/6 Commission research, HRCs emails and Weiners laptop. Yeah, the one with HRC's emails and was politically worse than the Hunter laptop.

It all seems to just disappear......

People have to be held to account in order to make sure it doesn;t happen again

Now people will understand that the whole trials and persecution of Trump was nothing but a political stunt by democrats to keep him from becoming a president. Most of the cases where bogus and political motivate thanks to biden and his DOJ.
