Hi all, this is my first thread since that big wipe not long ago. So I live in Cornwall, England. Halloween night around 7pm my girl and myself were
sat on my balcony enjoying the view and pointing out satellites and the occasional shooting star when she noticed something and pointed it out.
It was 5 what looked to be satellites/stars in around a 120° formation came out from behind the clouds looking out to sea north of us moving south
towards us. The two leading edge objects held the same position, the two inner next seemed to move slightly, and, the center one appeared to move
erratically between the two either side of it.
The formation moved north-south over Newquay, Cornwall at around 7pm on Halloween evening. We watched as it passed overhead and out of our view both
pretty baffled by what we had just seen, we started chatting about what it could be. It definitely looked like satellites, maybe Starlink although
I've not found any pictures of them flying in a delta formation and they dont move erratically. Then I thought seagulls, drones, or, maybe geese.
Then out the corner of my eye I caught a flash, for a second I thought it was just the lighthouse until my girl commented on it saying she'd seen it
and was looking right at it. It came from behind the clouds and was a single bright flash more than any aircraft lights, so another few minutes we sat
waiting for a helicopter or aircraft to appear or even catch a glimpse of their lights again but there was nothing.
We were left a little speechless and had a chucke with it being Halloween and all but I had to bring it to ATS as who else do you call, can't call
Ghostbusters no more.
Cheers all
