JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has expressed concerns about the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, and the growing cooperation between US adversaries including Russia, China, North Korea and Iran. “The risk is extraordinary,” he said. “World War III has already begun. You already have battles on the ground being coordinated in multiple countries," he said at the Institute of International Finance’s annual meeting in Washington DC.

Jamie Dimon has given a stern warning about geopolitical threats that could hurt the global economy. “Recent events show that conditions are treacherous and getting worse,” he wrote in a press release.

According to a report in Business Insider, Jamie Dimon said US adversaries want to topple the world order, and the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts could explode into a new world war.

China and Russia are "clearly talking about dismantling the system" established by Western nations after World War II, and "the risk of this is extraordinary," the JPMorgan CEO said.

The billionaire banker said that risk-management teams at his bank have “run scenarios that will shock you,” in terms of the possible economic implications of a global conflict that spirals out of control.


"You already have battles on the ground being coordinated in multiple countries," the JPMorgan Chase CEO said. The fighting could diminish and peace deals might be struck, but "mistakes happen," he said.

"So, to me, we shouldn't be naive," Dimon said. "We can't take the chance this will resolve itself. We have to make sure that we are involved in doing the right things to get it resolved properly for the sake of the free democratic Western world for the next 100 years."

He also underscored the difficulty of what might lie ahead. "We run scenarios that would shock you. I don't even want to mention them."

Non-profits are turning to for-profits seeking VC funds even though they have no discernable business model.

Unrealized losses at financial institutions are worse than 2008.

Commercial real estate defaults are getting worse.

Fraudulent reporting from federal agencies is now the norm.

They should purge the prisons of non-violent drug offenders to make room for the people that fueled the corporate greed orgy that has occurred since 2008.

It's going to be bad and it's inevitable now. Serious people disagree on how bad it will be, but only the carnival barkers are still pretending it's not going to happen. The influencers are providing the last bit of exit liquidity for the hedge funds and CEOs now. Retail investors and pension funds will be the last to react.

The 1959 one. I was totally unaware of the use of that title for a movie made in 2000. Entirely different story it seems.

North Koreans already in action in the Ukraine. Opens the door for western countries to put soldiers in on the Ukrainian side. What’s good for one etc. trouble is, non of it is good for anyone.
