The premise is you can invite 6 historical or current, living or dead couples to a dinner party. They do not have to be "couples" as in husband/wife. Just all people you think would be fun to get together and have a dinner party with.

I'll go first so you can get an idea what I mean.

Princess Diana and King Phillip

Lee Harvey Osawald and John F. Kennedy

Osama Bin Laden and Barack Obama

Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison

Jack and Rexella Van Impe

Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah [MH370 pilot] and Todd Beamer [UA93]

I just think it would be cool to see the dynamic between some of these people like Princess Diana and King Phillip/Oswald and Kennedy plus I want to hear the rest of Oswald's story. He kinda just got cut off and murdered when it was starting to get juicy. Was he really a patsy?! I want to know too what Obama and Osama would say to each other. Tesla and Edison............. would sparks fly? Hehehehehehehehe. I just think Jack and Rexella Van Impe seem like such an adorable couple. Zaharie Ahmad Shah was the pilot of MH370 and I think it would be helpful to understand his mental state and obviously Todd Beamer could give us the full story of what happened on flight 93.

So who would you guys invite to your dinner party? I went for kind of a mix of people I just want to see interact with each other and people I would hope to get some answers from about mysteries.

I also thought about a couple Pharoahs of Egypt to add to the mix but decided to keep it in modern times.

My grandfather, the serial killer, and his father, the murderer to ask them what the hell they were thinking and give them a little extra torture like they deserve.

And...
The beautiful Cassandra Peterson

And the economist with the most accurate future predictions to turn my holdings into billions...not for me, I don't care about stuff, clothes, items, nothing. But I love giving money away and there are so many dogs out there who could use better and more accommodating shelters.

I'd invite a bunch of cats. I could feed twenty of them at a dinner party for under twenty bucks.

Ha-ha!

There are 6 posts in this thread, and yer all getting invited to my imaginary dinner.

Sho, Nuggie, Alex, ABH2, Rickster, and Athetosky.

What would y'all like to eat ?

I don't think convo will be a problem.
If it is : we'll just get Ricky loaded, and get him to reminisce on his partying days.

Shout-out what you're bringing, and I'll take care of the rest.

Historically : I like Athetos' suggestion of Socrates and Plato, and maybe also Viktor Schauberger, Leonardo da-Vinci, Siddhartha Gautama ( Buddha ), Jesus, Laozi ( Lao-Tzu ), and George Carlin.

Hope Georgie brings his BS detector.

Entertainment by Mark & Shania Twain perhaps ?

Not if one of them is my cat! Hehehehehehehe. Or as I refer to him "Marlon Brando" not making fun of Mr. Brando. Just making fun of my silly cat.

I think it would be entertaining to have Lenin and Trotsky together for an evening while listening to them go at one another arguing over how to rebuild a society once the revolution had succeeded.

Forget the 6.

Lets bump that number up a tad.

How about 60,000,000 very poor individuals. So poor they dont own a shirt, or even have a pair of shoes. In fact all they had was their very life.
Across the table from them seat two people for each of them. An additional 120,000,000 people. The 120 million robbed the 60 million of everything they had. Now let them look them in the eyes.

I just think it would be cool to see the dynamic between some of these people

Jesus and Caiaphas.

Patton and Zhukov.

Jefferson and Hamilton.

Edison and Westinghouse.

Marconi and Tesla.

Washington and Biden.

EDIT: Most of these dynamics are well-known, but meeting again with modern perspective and hindsight would be... interesting. Maybe have extra security for when things get heated? Probably not a fun party, but wouldn't be a quiet one either!

Oh Mary Magdalena...now that's an interesting one. She sure could give the ultimate answer to several questions that could make, break, fortify, etc. Christianity...of course, it would also destroy the purpose of faith...so horrible pick for me, i guess. Awesome pick for you!

I didn't know we could have a lunch with YVHV in this scenario! Karl and Groucho, but no Harpo!?!? As a harpist myself who sees Harpo as just brilliant, that hurts me deeply. Ugh...he plays so effortlessly it is a point that few harpists reach. Literally zero effort...

Just read the OP - didn't want anyone else's choices influence mine.

Jesus and Mary Magdalene. We'd never run out of wine and they'd be able to answer some questions.

John Lydon and Queen Elizabeth II. A funny and clever man. His interaction with Liz would be interesting.

Louise Brooks and Aimee Allen. Two beautiful and strong women who I'm sure would have some stories to tell.

Noel Gallagher and Bruce Springsteen. Both like a drink and a laugh.....and the music.

Carl Sagan and Robert A. Heinlein. Two great minds and it'd be fascinating to hear their take on today's world etc.

Sank and Foz. Two of my greatest mates - for their wit, sarcasm and unique take on all things under the sun.....and of course the beer and giggles.
