This is pretty sad. FEMA is there to help people with disaster relief. But they are getting threatened by some idiot that are believing all the nonsense going around.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man and charged him with going armed to the terror of the public after security threats prompted a pause in some FEMA operations around western North Carolina.
William Jacob Parsons, 44, from Bostic was arrested after dispatchers were told a white male holding an assault rifle and making comments about harming FEMA employees.
At this point this just feels like a misinformation campaign by some foreign government to make an already bad situation worse. Or by certain elements in our own government to make the current administration look bad. Probably both.
The news comes after FEMA workers across Hurricane Helene’s disaster zone in western North Carolina have been targeted with misinformation and rumors about the federal government’s recovery operations in the area.
Also seems like a lone perp.
In a press release, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said reports of militia units were unfounded and that Parsons is accused of acting alone.

The North Carolina National Guard told CBS News in a statement on Monday that it had "no reports of our soldiers or airmen encountering any armed militia, any threats and any type of combatants. We are continuing to serve all those counties in need of our assistance."

You are right about that. The hill people do what they need to do and I wouldn't want them looking at me as if I was a walking dead coming to eat them.

If the folks in that area wanted to get rid of some fema, no one would know it until they found the remains after the bears were finished with them.
This story is a misunderstanding or just totally made up.
Them there city fema folk don't know what they are doing. Haven't a clue.

DIdn't happen.
Military service members from units across Fort Bragg will also support the exercise. These military members act as realistic opposing forces and guerrilla freedom fighters, also known as Pineland's resistance movement. These troops play a critical role in the training exercise.
To add realism of the exercise, civilian volunteers throughout the state act as role-players. Participation by these volunteers is crucial to the success of this training, and past trainees attest to the realism they add to the exercise.

When FEMA started handing out electric chainsaws in an area where no one had power, I would be tempted to tar and feather a few FEMA people.

This sounds like big city tree hugging folk at FEMA not understanding what people really need.
Just send the cheapest chainsaw you can find.
