Seismic activity was detected of 4.6 in the desert .. How will Israel and others respond if they can determine if it is true and how long will it take Iran to enrich enough Uranium for another or do they already have enough ?

In the late evening of October 5, seismic tremors of a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter Scale were detected in Iran’s Semnan region. Although they could be felt even in the capital Tehran, over a hundred kilometers away from the epicenter, as earthquakes go this was not a major event: It was not terribly strong and caused no casualties. And yet it has attracted global attention. The reason is that we are not sure that it really was an earthquake.

This would be a Major Problem for the Mid East and possibly the start of a nuclear war - I'm not convinced that Iran has the restraint to not do a 1st launch or let a nuke Fall "Given" To a Terrorist organization .

It would seem to be the only option.

But this, if true, is very bad news.

Time for regime change to rid the World (and the Iranians people) of the Mad Mullahs.

Aided and abetted by Russia in return for the 'support' Iran has given Russia?

"...We are not sure that it really was an earthquake..."

Who is this "We"? (Link to source of quote would be appreciated)

The seismic signature of a nuclear detonation shows characteristics that can easily distinguish it from those of a naturally occurring earthquake.

The whole world would know, very quickly if Iran had tested a nuke.

And there would be no logical reason for either Iran, Israel, or the rest of the world not to announce such an event.

Since the tremors shook the Iranian desert, speculation that this was, in reality, an underground nuclear test has not been dying down, in some traditional media and in social media everywhere. In Iran itself, according to the Tehran Times – an outward-facing English-language publication – ”seismologists and […] authorities” have denied a nuclear test. The newspaper added that “CIA Director William Burns also said there is no evidence that Iran has decided to build a nuclear weapon.” Considering that, from long and bitter experience, Iranians do not generally consider the CIA a source of truth, that is an intriguing, maybe tongue-in-check addition.

It is not hard to imagine plausible reasons why the leadership in Tehran could have an interest in staging a test that it knows leaves detectable traces while at the same time it’s officially denying that it has done so: it would, in essence, serve to warn enemies while allowing for a degree of politically flexible deniability. It would also, perhaps, create some strategic ambiguity – that is, uncertainty among opponents – if not about the event itself, then about what exactly the Iranian leadership is intending to do with it.

Hillary giving Russia uranium might clarify long range plans, bieng as Putin is ally's with Iran. They may just have all the material they need.

We used to constantly hear about Kim Jong Un developing nuclear weapons, but not much these days-and never any mention of who's supply the tach and material for him to do that.

Did the world go bonkers over the US testing nucler weapons? I wasn't paying attention during those early days.

Iran is a dictatorship with a core belief that their is greater honor in death if you're killing others who may have a different religous ideology, so I could see the whole country destroying the entire world to take out all non-muslims. They'd get top pick of all virgins in their F'd up little minds.

Time for regime change to rid the World.....

Because the other examples of regime change we gave the world went so well ?

Pretty sure there's a lesson to be learned from Iraq , Afghanistan and even the previous CIA installed Shah of Iran.

Are we to trust any reports on this issue? Given that the media here in the states get marching orders to help cover the administration, would they report the truth if it made them (the Biden/Harris administration) look bad? The track record on that leans heavily to NO!

Hilary did not give Russia uranium. Nobody did. Uranium is a highly, highly regulated and controlled substance. It is accounted for at every step of the way from digging ore out of the ground to turning it into metal. The deal between Russia and Uranium One did not include permission to export uranium from the US to Russia. None of the uranium in the ground in the US that was part of the Uranium One deal was ever sent to Russia.

At the time of the deal, Russia was actually selling the USA their Highly Enriched Uranium because they had 500 tons of excess weapons grade Uranium left over from decommissioning their warheads from the Cold War. Russia had and still has plenty of their domestic sources for uranium. Russia had less than zero incentive to try to get uranium out of the ground from the US.
