Met Police Federation Chair Rick Prior tells me that officers are “not engaging with people they should be for fear of complaint and suspension.”
The MPF chairman said white officers are now needlessly “hesitating” in altercations with ethnic minorities.

Appeals Tribunal chairman Damien Moore said the officers were "dedicated, hard-working and much respected" and their reputations had been "ruined" by the original findings.
"Both officers did not lie," he said.
"Both officers will now be reinstated to the Met Police. They should receive back-pay."

The Metropolitan Police Federation are aware that Chair Rick Prior has been placed under investigation by the Police Federation of England and Wales.
While this investigation takes place, Rick has been asked to step back from all Federation duties.
The MPF are supporting Rick through this process. We hope that this matter is resolved swiftly.
The important job of representing and backing our members out there policing the streets of London continues unaffected.
