Israel killed a top Hezbollah figure who was wanted by the U.S. for his role in the 1983 bombings of the U.S. Embassy and a Marine Corps barracks that killed 300 people, the Israeli military confirmed Friday.
Hezbollah's operations commander, Ibrahim Aqil, was the subject of a $7 million State Department reward for information leading to his arrest.
The Israeli military said it had killed Aqil and as many as 10 other senior commanders of the movement's Radwan special forces unit. Twelve people were reported dead and 66 injured in the attack, Lebanese officials said.

Give Israel a big thank you??! If they do it at all it'll be kept quiet to protect the dear college, protesting, snowflake break with reality overgrown children.
It took a long time to get Obam----er-----Osama where he was hiding in plain sight as well.

Hell I remember contemporaneously what many said was a naive idea it was to put those Marines in a hornet's nest to begin with

You think it doesn't deliver much. But it in fact does. It's just that they don't talk about it. Because they don't want the other side to know that we know. Much like how certain aircraft are still classified some 30 years later.

Wow it took this long to get that son of a pig, it took too long, seems US was not capable to get him.
A bit too late, the piece of crap was able to multiply.
"Those who directed this atrocity must be dealt justice, and they will be," "Let me ask those who say we should get out of Lebanon: If we were to leave Lebanon now, what message would that send to those who foment instability and terrorism?"
"We're not bugging out; we're just going to a little more defensible position,"

It's interesting how these people are on the "most wanted" terrorist list, but we don't hear about them until they're killed, or make the news in some way.

Ronald Reagan was the Commander-In-Chief. It's interesting that he was barely criticized over that massive attack, but Jimmy Carter was ripped to shreds over some U.S. "hostages" held by Iran.

Not trying to drift the thread, but I think it is because the bombing was over in a day. The Iran hostages were in captivity for 444 days. Every day in the news, "Day 56, Day 180, Day 243, Day 392, etc." There was even a joke... Q: What do you call the day before the hostages were taken? A: (in best Harry Bellefonte voice) Daaay O, Daaay O.
It's amazing and sad that terrorist leader Ibrahim Aqil was able to evade U.S. Intelligence for 41 years, even though we knew he was in Lebanon!

Every agency head, or Private Company CEO shows up at Congress, and tells them anything on their mind, without fearing having their budget cut, or subsidies reduced.
DHS head Mayorcas told the House to go screw themselves, and they did NOTHING to him, even though he admitted there are many American deaths due to all the migrants he's letting into America.

I think US leadership keeps the worlds' bad guys in a holding pattern to be captured when a big scandle is about to breal or favorable ratings are dropping too low and they need a planned media diversion.
JK-sort of.
It's also a big problem that we elect and re-elect people to Congress who give government agencies whatever they want, without first determining if they're delivering anything worthwhile for the trillions of taxpayer dollars (OUR dollars) given to them.
