Not surprised at all. You read about it time and time again.

If it is true in this case, I'm all for letting the sheriff walk.

But boy, the media isn't saying a word about possible motive.
Even if it does come out as true, I can see them covering for the judge!

the judge is dead. So covering him is the logical next step. With dirt.

LOL I know.
I just meant not telling john Q public if evidence does come out that he had sex with a minor, or was trading for sexual favors.

I read an initial report regarding the judge and the sheriffs daughter. If that is the case, it is still 2nd degree murder. I would do the same thing but being a LEO does not make it ok.

If he was smart, and it was such a small town, he should have arrested him and made sure there was an incident at county. Sure there are plenty there the judge screwed. This is why 1%'ers are important to the jail system

The victim is the child in this case also. Sad all around.

Just ran across this update.
Allegedly the murdered judge was having sex in his chambers with female prisoners and there’s video evidence.
Unknown if it was with the sheriffs daughter but it’s looking that way.

Recordings Link Kentucky Judge to Alleged Sextortion Scandal

Audio recordings obtained by NewsNation suggest that Judge Kevin Mullins, who was killed in September, may have been involved in a sex-for-favors scheme. The allegations surface amid a broader investigation into corruption within Letcher County.

Mullins, 54, was fatally shot in his chambers at the Whitesburg, Kentucky courthouse on Sept. 19. The alleged shooter, Letcher County Sheriff Shawn M. “Mickey” Stines, 43, has pleaded not guilty to murder charges.

The recordings are tied to a prior investigation into former Deputy Sheriff Ben Fields, who was convicted earlier this year of raping a female inmate. In the recordings, Sabrina Adkins, one of Fields’ accusers, alleges that videos exist showing sexual activity involving Mullins in his chambers. Adkins claims these acts were part of a scheme in which women were coerced into sexual acts in exchange for leniency in court or reduced bail.

Adkins’ attorney described the courthouse activities as resembling “a brothel.” Adkins herself stated she viewed one of the recordings, identifying Mullins as one of the individuals involved.

Mullins had served as a district judge for 15 years. Stines, who fired Fields after allegations surfaced, was recently deposed in a civil rights lawsuit tied to Fields’ misconduct, just days before Mullins’ death. Stines now faces charges of first-degree murder and murder of a public official.

This case continues to develop.
