Reform's party conference is happening in Birmingham this weekend but as a precursor to that today Nigel Farage has released a video saying he giving up control of the party to its members , the question in my mind is will Farage still be leader ? , and if not is he preparing for a bigger job .... leader of the Tories ? ... or is he planning to dump and run.

More details will be revealed at the conference but I'm not enthused by this news.

Dump, run to Trump... perhaps?

You read my mind , more money to be made over there than here.

Starmer has threatened to stop MPs being hosts of news shows which is clearly aimed at Farage as he has a show on GBNews , if he steps down as leader of Reform that would pretty much make reform irrelevant politically and crush any hopes we had of regaining our Country.

I await with interest (and a little trepidation) as to what comes out the the Reform UK conference.

Without the political brilliance and charisma of Farage Reform will be just another UK Independence Party , functioning but irrelevant.

Agreed. However, maybe this is one of Farage's crafty move to get the approval of members to him being leader. Can you honestly see any of them voting for any of the other 4 to any great effect? He will then use it against the Tories and Labour to start 'Reform' to politics in this country.

one of Farages crafty moves, hes got many of them when it comes to filling his pockets with taxpayers money

hes just another lying politician, dont fall for his BS

lets not forget hes another who loves to cream expeneses and not provide reciepts

jump to 4.10 and 4.40 is also good when he says how he spends that money is up to him....your hard earned taxpayer money

"im not defending this system, i want it to end, but i get GIVEN (lol given) £3500 to spend evey month as i see fit" but in the meantime hes quite happy to take the money

just another political crook, like ALL of the rest of them

Reform UK party conference live stream from the NEC Birmingham hosted by Dr David Bull.

Nigel Farage's speech to conference scheduled for 4 pm.

From what I've read Farage handing control of Reform to the members is a move toward democratic control of the party to bring it inline with other political parties , he will remain as an MP and leader of Reform.

Former soldier and SAS member Ant Middleton has given a speech at the Reform UK conference warning of trouble ahead.

Ant Middleton, who starred in SAS: Who Dares Wins, discussed British identity and called for more action to be taken to strengthen it.

The former soldier told the audience: "What's British identity? British culture. What's British culture? British history.

"So why is that being eradicated? Why is that being trampled all over? Why aren't we allowed to be the umbrella culture of this country?"

Highlighting the role of Christianity in the UK's history, Mr Middleton said: "The moment we lose our identity, guess what we lose? Our purpose, our focus, our direction. What happens when we don’t have an identity? We get confused."

He said he lost his identity and got confused after leaving the military, saying: "When you have a nation of confused people, guess what happens after? Frustration. You get frustrated, very much like the individual.

"What happens after frustration? Anger, violence. What's happening on our streets right now? Violence."

He said the UK is at a "crucial stage before it teeters into civil unrest, which we want to avoid at all costs".

"But it's coming, we're on that edge where violence has hit the streets, we've all seen it."

He is of course correct.

100%!!
Well done Mr Middleton!.
Hoping to be back from a quick food shop before Farage speaks. I'll have to miss Lee Anderson sadly.

PS, I never got out to the shop... Lee Anderson stormed his speech at conference.... and it turns out the stalwart conservative Jim Davidson is in the audience! What a f'ing brilliant speech! Staying home now to hear Farage. I've never been so close to joining a political party in all my life!
