Jane's Addiction - Perry Farrell gets aggresive with Dave Navarro

Fans got some extra excitement when Perry Farrell got aggressive with Dave Navarro. Not sure what Perry was upset about.

Perhaps Perry was under the influence or he was upset about the instruments drowning out his voice?

It's a sad thing to see , I don't believe the explanation given by Farrell's wife I think Perry needs some time off to get his head together because it sure isn't where it needs to be.

Never thought Perry was a good person to begin with. Not a fan.

I honestly never got why people loved them...other than his antics...of course.

Dave Navarro,
Watched him in Ink Masters.
Seems like a nice guy.
Read about his mothers murder.
And his visit to jail to the guy that killed her.
Heavy heavy stuff.

They broke up in their heights of there popularity. Always been tension in Janes Addiction. Perry held out till
he got majority of the Royalities...

I heard he was frustrated because he couldn't hear himself sing, the music was too loud and fans were saying the same thing. His voice was over stressed and he was getting worse with each show. He had voiced his concerns before that show and just broke because he had it with not being heard. I know what it's like to sing with not being able to hear yourself properly..it blows your voice quick if you let it. Combined with the fact he's drinking wine on stage probably doesn't help!

In Perry’s defense that mix was gawd awful in so many ways. You couldn’t hardly hear him, that’ll kill any singers voice. I’m not sure that Dave was the right person to be blaming. He should be having a long talk with the sound engineer because that’s not really Daves fault, that said, it does seem like there’s a lot of tension between the two.

The tour has now been cancelled.

Jane’s Addiction Cancel Remainder of Tour as Bandmates Cite Perry Farrell’s Poor Behavior, “Mental Health Difficulties”

“The band have made the difficult decision to take some time away as a group. As such they will be cancelling the remainder of the tour,” read a statement posted to Jane’s Addiction’s social media channels on Monday, September 16th. Navarro and fellow Jane’s Addiction bandmates Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins separately posted a joint statement to their individual social media accounts in which they said: “Due to a continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to discontinue the current US tour.” “Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative. We hope that he will find the help he needs,” Navarro, Avery, and Perkins’ statement continued. “We deeply regret that we are not able to come through for all our fans who have already bought tickets. We can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis. Our hearts are broken.”

From Perry:

“This weekend has been incredibly difficult and after having the time and space to reflect, it is only right that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show,” Farrell said. “Unfortunately, my breaking point resulted in inexcusable behavior, and I take full accountability for how I chose to handle the situation.”

What a letdown for the fans.

Sad end to a great band.

What a sad 65 year old man. Either on drugs, booze or just a get off my lawn (stage) night.

He looks sick and can't retire as the nature of the demons maybe to get all weird ATS on it.

But Come on why sing if you are not having a good time at 65! Holy crap I just want to retire go have some fun!

I loved Janes Addiction and to certain point some of his side projects like Porno for Pyros but Perry how does your body handle that crap! LOL
