After the 2016 elections Democrat operatives took the country on a three year long political persecution of the then sitting president Donald Trump
over his alleged ties to Russia and Vladimir Putin.
I assume you are referring to the Mueller Investigation, which went from May of 2017 to March of 2019. It started when lifetime Republican and
Attorney General Jeff Sessions correctly recused himself from direct management of the investigations because as a direct employee/appointee of Trump
he would have been one of the subjects of the investigation and therefore would have had an irreconcilable conflict of interest. That left it up to
lifetime Republican and acting Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to run the investigation. So he correctly appointed a Special Counsel to lead the
investigation--again to avoid any perception of conflict of interest. That Special Counsel was lifetime Republican and former head of the FBI Robert
Mueller. Lifetime Republican Bill Barr replaced Jeff Sessions as Attorney General and correctly did nothing to interfere with or change the direction
of the Special Counsel Investigation and was the one who ultimately received the Report.
A redacted version of the Report was eventually released which concluded, in part:
"..... Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election did occur "in sweeping and systematic fashion" and "violated U.S. criminal law.
and,
...the investigation "identified numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump campaign", found that Russia "perceived it would benefit
from a Trump presidency" and that the 2016 Trump presidential campaign "expected it would benefit electorally" from Russian hacking efforts. However,
ultimately "the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its
election interference activities"
None of the links to the Russian Government identified by the Mueller investigation had anything to do with the so-called Steele Dossier, and multiple
Russian nationals were indicted on election interference crimes.
So we have a bunch of lifetime Republicans, all appointed by Trump himself, or hired by people appointed by Trump, all of them playing exactly by the
book, and all of this happening under the Trump Administration. And they produced a report which detailed all the linkages between the Trump campaign
and the Russian government, which resulted in criminal charges being filed against the Russians, but concluded that none of those linkages rose to the
level of criminal conspiracy on the part of Trump or his team. So they essentially cleared his name, in that regard.
Please point to the Democrat operatives in this story and where the persecution took place.
