I thought that was the explanation as to why there were no stars in the moon landing pics?

Could be wrong though.

Why wouldn’t you be able to see stars in space? I’d imagine you could see them better without the atmosphere and light pollution.

"NASA astronaut captures photograph of Milky Way while orbiting Earth
The moon was not in view during the crew’s orbit in the night portions — which meant the Milky Way’s main belt was bright enough for one of the astronauts, Matthew Dominick, to take a photograph just before sunrise."

From your link.

They were not on the Moon.

Hubble and James Webb seems to manage such photos just fine.

Who told you you can't see stars in space?

Deny Ignorance.

Pretty sure that applied to the moon due to the glare from the surface of it.

As far as I'm aware it was never made about space itself.

It's simple. The astronaut is not in Earth orbit. It's just that everyone here is afraid to admit it.

There are so many fun explanations on the web.

This link, says it's because the stars are too dim to show up. LOL
And it is the Planetary society.

Dammit Glort! That's the third star you've hit in the past ten light years! Our insurance is going to be out of this galaxy!

Sorry Klaxa, I didn't see it. It just came out of nowhere.

I didn't have you figured as a flat Earther or a space denier.

Was Yuri Gagarin and Soyuz fake too?

Is the ISS fake? 😷 🤥

From your source:

"The Apollo astronauts' photos were exposed for the brightly sunlit lunar surface and white space suits. These exposures were too short to detect stars in the sky."

"Speaking at a press conference just weeks after returning to Earth, Armstrong said: “We were never able to see stars from the lunar surface, or on the daylight side of Moon without looking through the optics."

Can you see stars from Earth, during daylight?

We can see stars in space , cameras sometimes have difficulty because of Earthshine.

I don't think light is exactly what we are told it is.

I can't bring myself to believe that when I see a star, that means that a supposed particle called a photon, has travelled some 20, or 20 million light years, just to meet my eye.

" I can see through the stars inside you. "

So what do you think distant stars are?

Fake?

Look up at the night sky.

What do you see?
