Nuclear weapons were used twice before.

It was a very, very harsh lesson that we, as a species, had to learn.
We are all, each and every one of us, are more than aware of the harm and devastation they cause.

Those bombs used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki are nothing compared to what could be unleashed on this planet now.
The only justification for them since 1945 has been M.A.D. and the simple fact that we can not un-invent them.

Putin and his cronies are the only people threatening their usage. Every other rational, sane human being knows full well the implications of doing so.

China will turn on Russia in dramatic fashion if they ever do use first strike nuclear weapons - it sets such a dangerous precedent, it could not be allowed to go unpunished.
Russia would become a pariah on the world stage the likes of which has never been seen before.....for the limited time it would exist.

That you seem to think it would be ok and acceptable for Putin to use nuclear weapons on Ukraine - a nation that gave up its large haul of nukes to Russia in return for assurances Russia would never, ever attack it and would respect its independence - is really a little bit disturbing.
