"Numerous persons" have been shot in an "active shooter" situation on Interstate 75 near exit 49 just north of London, Kentucky, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday evening.
The sheriff’s office said the highway was closed near the exit, which is nine miles north of London.
Police are still searching for the suspect, Reuters reported.

- Officials say an unknown individual opened fire from an elevated position along I-75 in Laurel County, KY
- Several vehicles were struck by gunfire, with at least five confirmed victims
- Dispatch reported that The victims were shot through their windshields."
- The suspect remains at large they are calling him Armed and dangerous
- Authorities are urging people to stay inside

We've had 63 people shot on Chicago highways so far this year...102 in 2023. Just driving along minding their own business, like in Kentucky today.
