Once it's exposed how powerful people in government, media, industry are using the system for their own selfish interests, instead of the public, there WILL be a civil war. It will be 300 million U.S. citizens, against a few hundred top officials who don't think we deserve to run our own country.

I've always wondered why people say there will be another civil war. How do we tell Democrat from Republican ? Do we just go out and buy red or blue shirts ? What about the folks who don't want to get involved ? What color shirts do they wear ? Will there be a secret handshake or maybe gang signs ? One of my best friends is a Democrat. Do I have to shoot him or just a flesh wound ?

It's all very confusing. Someone needs to write a rule book.

There wouldn’t be a civil war. There would just be a straight up revolt.

That was the whole plan behind endorsing Trump in 2016. The Russians know that every country, every society has built-in fault lines. Along religious lines. Along language lines. Along ethnic lines. Along racial lines. Between rural and urban, etc. etc. They also know that if they can exacerbate those fault lines by skillful use of propaganda and disinformation, they can turn one part of the population against another. They have done this in many countries they wanted to neutralize. Do it long and skillfully enough, and you can get citizen fighting citizen strictly along tribal lines. The Jan. 6 events are widely seen by the MAGA tribe as justifiable payback for the summer actions of the Antifa/BLM tribe.

The Russians realized that Trump would happily use the grievances of White, Christian, rural, isolationists against non-white, non-religious, urban, globalists, and vice versa to advance his personal ambitions for power and wealth. They didn't do that to Make America Great Again. They did that to neutralize America's power in the world.

I think they would love to see that happen given the implication.

But it's simply wishful thinking on their part.

For a start, what would that look like, who would they fight?

Would it not be reminiscent of neighbor against neighbor given the variety in some states?

A modern-day American civil war would resemble the purge more than war by my guess.

C'Mon, the rules are clear: If you are for a NWO and a redo of what is human, then you are that. On the other hand, if you believe in the old ideas of democracy and freedom of the individual, then you are on that side. Let's keep it simple, shall we? Blue and red. But the premise is correct.

The elite of the elite Democrat Politicians have been demonizing every single person who voted in 2016 and 2020 but not for them as:
(Hillary) racist,sexist,homophobic,deplorable - belonging in formal deprogramming
(Biden) domestic terrorists, insurrectionists
(Obama) people who cling to their guns and bibles

Basically the most influential leaders of the Democrat Party, former (D) First Ladies, (D) Presidents, (D) Presidential Candidates have labeled every conservative in the nation as evil at best, criminal at worst, and belonging in formal deprogramming (camps?)

Yes Elite Republican politicians have called Democrats things like snowflake. Although I haven't seen a high ranking elite Republican politician calling every liberal words that translate as evil, criminal, or belonging in reeducation camps.

Over the past 12 years we have seen one party repeatedly in groups that numbered, in total, 10's of thousands, in coordinated efforts all over the nation, riot and burn city streets all over the entire nation, in 2016 after Trump was elected, again in 2020 BLM who went so far as to set a building on fire with families inside, then the recent nationwide marches that chanted/chant phrases that mean genocide the Jewish people. As more and more participate in these events, and they become more frequent, well, civil war is on it's way.

Once people resort to setting buildings on fire with people inside,
create a new nation within the borders of the US,
coordinate massive riots/marches all over the nation
that turn violent against those who are simply nearby or beat up counter protestors --

In my opinion, we actually have been in a civil war ever since Trump was elected in 2016.

Damn...that sounds like what the CIA/State Dept. does around the globe on a yearly basis. You don't think we would allow Russia to do that to us without those folks noticing do you? I mean that sort of destabilizing is the US's bread and butter...surely we would notice our own playbook being run against us right?!?!

Some elements of MAGA will certainly attempt to seize power by force if Trump loses the coming election.

If there has been substantial infiltration within military and law enforcement bodies, so that substantial numbers of troops and police join that revolt, then yes, you will see the beginnings of civil conflict.

However, it will be put down well before it comes to war, and the traitors will receive their just deserts.

You and the OP have got it backwards, as people often do here on ATS. It isn't Russia repeating what conspiracy theorists have been saying all along. Rather, conspiracy theorists have been parroting tropes fed to them -- for years and years now -- by the Russians. It's really the Russians agreeing with themselves at this point, and sounding like they're proving you right when really it was they who fed you the Kool-Aid in the first place.

You see, about 15-20 years ago the Russians found a weak spot in the armoured hull of democracy. Right-wing conspiracy theorists were that weak spot. They had tried the Left earlier, all through the Cold War, but somehow they never made much headway. Then the Iron Curtain collapsed, and the tactics changed. And to their delight, the right proved a much softer target than the left...

The Kremlin boys piled into the American right for all they were worth, and pretty soon they had you all in their pockets. They didn't even have to pay you: you did it all for love and grievance, without even knowing who you were really loving. Hell, they didn't even need to pay you -- though they pay millions to the right-wing websites and influencers who manufacture the pablum the American far right regurgitates.

You've been recruited as what the old KGB used to call Useful Idiots. Not an insult. A technical term.

And if it should ever come to any kind of civil conflict in America, be sure that you will bear a grievous portion of the responsibility.
