IF a prison sentence is levied, I would expect the execution of the sentence, the actual incarceration, to be made contingent upon the outcome of the election: If Trump fails to win the election, the sentence will be carried out immediately. If Trump wins the election, his time in prison will be delayed until after his term ends.
A "stay of execution" if you will.

Good. Seeing Trump get marched out of the courtroom in cuffs will be the cherry on top after he loses the election.

I though the Trump organization and Trump personally have been convicted of fiscal and tax fraud?
Also, thegatewaypundit has a reputation for predicting things that didn't happen.
For invoicing a lawyer handling a legal contact as legal fees?
So stupid.
That's like saying that WMD arms dealers to terrorist organizations are being prosecuted for just putting stuff on a truck.
No. It’s like saying correctly invoicing legal expenses for a legal contract is somehow tax fraud.

At the earlier sentencing I would have certainly thought no jail time. Moving it to after the election? If we have citizen Trump, I'm not so sure of that outcome.

Nicely done avoiding the question. What page of the Bidenian Avoidance manual did you get that one from?

There is a false dilemma presented.
www.270towin.com...
Looking at the poll average. (All candidates) Trump flipped back Arizona to +1 after RFK Jr. dropped, but has fallen into a tie in North Carolina and Georgia, and now trailing in Wisconisn, Michigan, Pennsilylvania, and Nevada.
Of the 7 states that will decide this, Trump leads 1 of those by single percent. Even if he wins the tied states, it reads as 275-263, 270-268 if Trump takes Nevada.
Plus 9/10 outcome predicting Litchman just said 8 Keys for Harris and 3 Keys for Trump. And he only missed in 2000.
While the debate could change this, Trump is not necessarily the leading candidate. Nor is locking him up necessary to win an election.
But let's see what's on his mind. I think Trump's presser a few hours ago is gonna thread drift this for me.
Trump has been ranting for nearly 50 minutes now about the E. Jean Caroll case that he's appealing, again claiming he doesn't know her despite his being found liable for sexually abusing and defaming her and having to post more than $91 million in bond money to cover the damages against him.
"It’s an appeal of a ridiculous verdict of a woman I have never met," Trump said at Trump Tower during an event that was originally billed as a press conference.
"She wrote a book and made a ridiculous story up," he said. "This is a disgraceful case, it’s about a former president of the United States who is now leading in the polls to be president again."
Good to know he's always thinking about the country first... sigh.
A few hours ago he's ranting, and breaking just now, case postponed until after the election, November 26th.
Perhaps they are betting/hoping/"plotting to make sure" Harris wins, so they can sentence him as he rants on about the outcome again.

I am honestly surprised they postponed things till after the election.
Makes me wonder how bad the internal polling is in regard to what might happen if he is thrown in the klink.

Like I said before, President from prison will get me to vote for Trump. OMG. The angry tweets from @POTUS would be epic.
The GAG ORDER would be enhanced. Every Tweet criticizing Merchan or Bragg would get Trump another week in prison.
But woe on them come 1/20/2025 if Trump WINS on November 5th.

They aren't smart enough to work for winning ideas, so Trump in jail for his remaining days on earth might be just what they need to not slit their wrists.

If Trump goes to jail he'll no doubt have an "accident" like Epstein. This is a haymaker by the deep state. A last ditch effort to get him out of the way.
And yeah, they've been expanding Gitmo for a reason. Cohen should be worried.
