Musk's real genius is in his ability to map future trends and then invest his money with an end goal of making money on those investments such as he did by investing in Tesla. He also was savvy enough to see the future of digital enterprises invest or create start up companies that would later go on to be swallowed up by larger more successful companies providing him with more money to invest in his next acquisition.

Hydrogen cars have been around for over a century but the problem of storage has not been ironed out.. One can wonder, which I do, why Musk did not set his sights on solving that problem rather than investing so heavily in developing electric cars. It could be that there was little to no government grands for researching hydrogen cars as there was for electric.

Per the article referenced, he hos developing a vehicle based on hydrogen Fuel Cells to poo reduce electricity (instead of storing electricity in batteries, as Tesla's do currently);

I cant help to think all of the average joes who have previously already invented the water engine has been railroaded big brother. Musk is not doing anything special than what we've already seen in the past.

My alma mater, MTSU in TN, came up with this exact concept you wish for n this post over 30 years ago, built a proto type and even though it wins 1st prize for the design, not another was built. This one also went to the Bonneville salt flats and set a land speed record for a H2 fueled car.

We learned that H2 is safer than you think. The problem is we could pull up to a pond and fill up if we filter the water depending on the exact design. For now, the H2 tank in the back is one simple way to demonstrate the concept.

The one MTSU designed the motor was built by Nissan of N America. With a slight change in the motor heads to account for the temperature difference verses gasoline for fuel, the idea was to split Water molecules in the car and store it in advance in small quantities to get the motor started. The NASA company that held a key patent made it hard on them getting the parts so they shifted gears and built a hybrid of the idea in another alternative fuel concept car.

It is high time we get H2 powered engines.

GM first introduced a Hydrogen powered ICE car in 1970....yes, 1970! They investigated it, it was great, but the technology to produce and store the H was not up to it.

This proposal, which is an oldie but goodie, is to use Hydrogen to create the power for the electric motor, instead of expense heavy batteries.

The problem with Hydrogen is Storage and transportation.....that will be the tech leap. It is a great fuel, abundant across the Universe.

Everybody can see the issue with current EV cars......Pollution for the Future. They make Too much pollution to create. And they pollute to dispose of. With the 100s of Chinese EV car companies, they are now disposable cars, creating even More polution to make and recycle.

A Hydrogen powered Economy, would be a possible solution.....until of course, greed sets in, control, etc etc...the usual human stuff......

I am thinking he is firing for affect to rattle the cages of the WEF and other "Global man made disaster" Doom porn specialists. These designs like I referred to in my post above this one being one example. That one was special for me since I went to school there AND I met the inventor.

The video is clickbait and bogus, but Hydrogen fuelled cars exist.

We had one demo that we could test drive, parked in our carpark. I put my name down for a test drive, but there were too many people who wanted to give it a try and so I never got to actually drive it.

Not really, he stores the hydrogen not as a pressurized gas the way ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) hydrogen powered buses do, but he used 4 large tanks that filled up his entire trunk to store the hydrogen using a chemical method instead.

That video about Bob Lazar's water-powered corvette is the biggest click-bait there is. It's titled something like Bob Lazar runs his corvette on water.
One of the first things Bob Lazar says in the video is, "You can't run a car on water"!

Lazar then explains how if you wanted to, you could use solar panels to split water into hydrogen and oxygen but for whatever reason, he was not doing that.

So Lazar is actually right, you can't run a car on water. But his explanation of how he made the hydrogen storage medium inside his tanks using his home made particle accelerator is quite dubious. However there are commercially available storage tanks with a similar function, that Lazar claimed are not as efficient as his home-made tanks.

See the section on "chemical storage" in this article about hydrogen storage methods; Lazar was using a type of chemical storage.

I know it was a typo, but still, "poo reduction electricity" is really a thing, and I'm somewhat familiar with it. You take lots of poo, say from cows on a dairy farm, and process ot with a specific type of reduction called oxidation reduction (which is a fancy way of saying "burn the poo"). Use the heat from the burning poo to boil water, and the steam can power a turbine genrator to make electricity. It's not only feasible, some dairy farms are doing it:

Water is not a fuel. Hydrogen is fuel and you can split water to make hydrgen, but splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen takes a lot of energy. At current market prices, it's cheaper to produce hydrogen from fossil fuels so that's where it tends to come from now, though alternative options are possible for the future:

Hydrogen use today is dominated by industry, namely: oil refining, ammonia production, methanol production and steel production. Virtually all of this hydrogen is supplied using fossil fuels, so there is significant potential for emissions reductions from clean hydrogen.
