I used to know an old tiny woman who had a super cool cadilac like the red one in the picture you have. It was a fifty seven or something like that,
but not a ragtop. No rust, stored every winter. I worked as a handyman and on her farm and asked her if she wanted to sell it, sitting in her garage
she rented from someone. She told me it needed engine work and she would like to get a thousand bucks for it but I should not buy it.
So, my brother worked with me and he was able to buy her old delta eighty eight with sixty thousand miles on it for four hundred bucks...he sold it to
me and I still have that car in my garage. I sanded it down, did most of the body work, bought a high rise aluminum manifold and a six fifty double
pumper for it new....it still runs, but I need to start working on it again someday to finish it up. Got all the parts, just needs a new headliner.
It has a 430 wildcat engine in it with big bore heads, the engine is actually worth a grand for stock car racing. I need to finish it up and give it
to my daughter before I can't work on it anymore, I used to be pretty good at body work on vehicles and painted about three cars. Needs brakes now
too, they were froze up pretty much when I moved it from one garage to the other, and the gas was very old and it smelled pretty bad from the varnish
in the gas, I need to change the gas...but even with twelve year old gas, it ran and drove.
Also got an old 47 dodge truck but it needs a six volt battery again. That needs some work, but ran well when I parked it.
I have that promised to my grandson.
