All of this is hitting when it's difficult AF to get Disability status and Caregiver status to perfectly qualified candidates, or to help or struggling veterans. Yet this state government thinks spending hundreds of millions in unaudited services for migrants is just normal business.

Massachusetts GOP accuses governor of secret $1 billion migrant spending spree

BOSTON (TND) — Members of the Massachusetts GOP on Tuesday demanded transparency from Gov. Maura Healey after submitting Freedom of Information Act requests to uncover information about the state’s spending on the migrant crisis.

Massachusetts was forced to redirect substantial funding to accommodate an influx of migrant arrivals. The state reportedly spent nearly $400,000 alone on “vaccine record reviews” for migrants and other individuals staying in its emergency shelters.

Gov. Healey’s administration, the state GOP claims, has quietly spent over $1 billion to house the state’s incoming migrants.


“The Healey-Driscoll Administration has shrouded nearly $1 billion dollars spent in secrecy, leaving Massachusetts residents in the dark,” Massachusetts Republican Party Chair Amy Carnevale said. “They have withheld critical information on 600 incidents involving police, fire, and EMTs. Blocking journalists at every turn, the administration has obstructed the flow of information to the public.”

Investigations by news organizations across the state have revealed that Gov. Maura Healey’s administration has paid millions of dollars to catering companies, hotels, and other vendors with little oversight of how that money is being spent.

In the case of one contract for shelter services at a former college in Quincy, the state defended its decision to use no-bid contracts saying they were needed to speedily deploy such “critical services” as food, health care, and job-training.

Bet she won't.

I think outside of what happens with this election, at a certain point Americans are gonna reach the boiling point and will have had their fill of this kind of thing.

Ya, know the blessing of those in power that has no interest in helping the plight or suffering of the people it was meant to serve.

I mean hell, is t this what happened in Boston to begin with and gave us the country we’ve held dear all this time?

At some time the yolk must be cast and the gloves come off. Voting ain’t helping much anymore. Meanwhile the drive to separate Americans into divided camps is in overdrive and working phenomenally. A pity really.

Unfortunately I believe to this is exactly the plan and ploy that TPTB want to happen, what they yearn for actually, because then the trap is sprung and Americans will have no recourse left as we are cast into civil war, martial law, or both.

But yeah. This sh!t has got to stop.
