Anniversary of Abbey Gate Bombing Gold Star Families Say They've Never Heard From Biden or Harris

How can we expect a Harris administration to command our military when mutual respect is at an all-time low? Hell we know LBJ and Carter anguished over military deaths on their watch, it seems this administration hides from the solemn duty to reach out and comfort those families whose sons, daughters, Fathers and Mothers, wives and husbands, brothers and sisters have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Especially at a time with 2 hot wars and the looming issue of supporting the Philippines South Korea and Japan

On the third anniversary of the suicide bombing at Hamid Karzai International Airport, which killed 13 U.S. service members, gold star families vented their frustrations that there has yet to be any accountability for what Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-WI) called “one of the largest foreign policy debacles that’s taken place in the history of our country.”

“There’s never even been condolences,” she said. “[The Biden-Harris administration] just want to pretend it didn’t happen. They want to take credit for ending the war, but don’t want to take responsibility for how it went down.”

Mark Schmitz, father of Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, emphasized that one of the main goals now is ensuring this never happens again—“that any gold star family is left for three years just waiting for their child’s name to be read by the leader of this country. Or get the honest truth…”

When asked whether any of the families had heard from President Biden or Vice President Harris, both of whom released statements Monday marking the anniversary, not a single person on the call said yes. On the contrary, former President Trump and his campaign have reached out to all of the families on numerous occasions, and on Monday laid wreaths with grieving family members at Arlington National Cemetery.

Their silence speaks volumes.

The fact that the H & W campaign claims it was just a campaign publicity stunt for Trump is disgueting. No doubt fear of being accused of seeking campaign publicity will be the excuse why neither one of them didn't show up, but it doesn't explain why they've never called any of the grieving families.

Trump has more love for this country and more patriotism in his little finger than Biden, Harriz or stolen valor Tim could ever hope to have.

The H & W campaign retoric is every bit as nasty as anything Trump has ever said, and their base loves it.

As a multigenerational Brat this makes me sad.

Gold Star families deserve recognition and respect for loss of loved ones in the line of Duty to this Nation.

Shame.

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t this bomber in the sights of a sniper team, and they weren’t given the go-ahead or green light to save these people?

Maybe I’m imagining or employing wishful thinking but dang, if that ain’t the same thing that happened to Trump some weeks back.

When snipers are trained to be the elite force that is able to help other servicemen in combat and security situations unlike any other, yet they are compelled to only engage when given the nod, it seems something else has taken root within our military or the folks that control it.

My condolences to these families as the exit from Afghanistan will haunt America for a very long time.

Them in particular forever.

Here is Tyler Vargas-Andrews', one of the snipers, recounts of the events that happened that day.

Democrats can't get involved because it might insult Muslims. 🖐️ What-a-they think about THAT!

They refuse to get involved because it would show that this entire situation could have been avoided if they had gotten their heads out of each others a$$e$ and done their job instead of blaming an admin that was no longer in office when this occurred.

But that is the Democrat way, it is always someone else's fault when things go wrong. But, as soon as one little thing goes "right" they will hold it over everyone's head until the day they die.

Arlington Cemetery sent invitations to Biden and Harris at least 3 times since late July to attend the ceremony.

Neither of them ever replied back.

That was a common occurrence in both Iraq and Afghanistan under Obama.

We'd watch dirties place IEDs but were not allowed to take them out because they weren't shooting at us.

It doesn't seem to bother the 'Orange Man Bd' crowd one little bit.
