I have seen this kind of thing a few times at furry conventions. They have a sheet that anyone can draw on and auction it off at the end. This is much less movable though.

Art at a gathering area. Exchange of ideas on stone.

The patterns are typical for prehistoric paintings and also very prominent in the first stages of visual hallucinogenic experiences...

Spot on.
Especially the wavey lines and square shaped long lines. Typical of mild hallucination.

Could well be a meeting spot for rituals and/or the consumption of hallucinogenics.

Why do we look at history with our current perspective?

Why does it have to be tripping?

Why not, as said before, a practice wall?
Maybe that was how they kept a census? Something like Billy who smells of wet dog?

Circumstances thousands of years ago were different. How people thought was different. They were not dumb. They had different priorities.

We can guess all we want, we will never know the answer.

But that doesn't make it any less cool. S&F

This image was one of the 'supernatural figures'. I swear i saw this image in a children's book when I was a young lad. We're talking over 50 years ago. I recognized it immediately.

That's funny I thought the same thing. Reminds me of the old Ant and the Aardvark cartoon off of Pink Panther.

Well, from years of looking at art from these ages, that was always in my mind.

Ever see the figures with the big black eyes?
Thats how a person looks while tripping. Your pupils dilate enormously.

But hey, its only my opinion, we're here to debate these kind of findings.

Its just my take on it, like you said could well just be a practice wall. I just came to my conclusion because of the location.
And you're right, we can guess all we want we we may never know the answer.
