What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls
Saturday, August 17, 2024
In surveys last week, this is what America told Rasmussen Reports:
- President Biden ended the polling week with a daily job approval of 46%.
- Former President Donald Trump continues to lead Vice President Kamala Harris, although the Democrat has slightly narrowed the margin.
- The current Middle East conflict is a major crisis, according to most voters, who trust former President Trump more than Vice President Kamala Harris to deal with the crisis.
- Democratic voters are overwhelming pleased with Kamala Harris’s choice of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her vice-presidential running mate, but Republicans and independents are less impressed.
- Election integrity concerns have focused on the issue of illegal voting by non-citizens, and most voters suspect it may be happening in their state.
- A majority of voters believe most news reporters are biased and expect the media to keep helping Kamala Harris against Donald Trump in their coverage of the presidential campaign.
- The wildlife and wilderness of Yellowstone National Park are a resource of global importance, according to an overwhelming majority of voters who see a duty to preserve America’s first national park.
- As students prepare for the beginning of another school year, Americans are clearly divided over transgender policies.
- Thirty-four percent (34%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction.

President Biden engaged in "impeachable conduct," House Republicans found in their months-long impeachment inquiry, declaring in their highly anticipated report that he "abused his office" and "defrauded the United States to enrich his family."
Fox News Digital obtained a copy of the 292-page report prepared by the House Oversight Committee, House Judiciary Committee and House Ways and Means Committee. Those panels have been leading the impeachment inquiry against Biden.
"The Committees have accumulated evidence demonstrating that President Biden has engaged in impeachable conduct," the report, which lays out evidence gathered to date, says.

Because it's not just about his policy, or his achievements. I am an independent, but I recognize that Biden is a decent human being.
Stopped reading right there.
I'm just saving myself some time...
Because it's not just about his policy, or his achievements. I am an independent, but I recognize that Biden is a decent human being. I may not agree with his every policy, and I don't. But he is such a contrast with Trump, many people support him just because he's a better person.
On the other side, we have an ex-president who's already been impeached twice, 34 times a felon, has a huge judgment for fraud, judgments for defamation that are over sexual assault, etc...
