How can anyone claim to be free from sin?

Do we not each have varied definitions of sin?

To sin is not per say to do evil.

Not from my perspective.

To sin is to go against the natural flow of Harmony.

That perfect tune we all live by yet somehow manage to nearly completely ignore as we trudge through life.

First, recognize and tune in to perfect Harmony.

Then you will instinctively recognize Sinful actions and thoughts.

Only then can we agree on sin.

And then only can we make a conscious decisions to partake or withhold from it.

This is where I come in.

Sin.

But do so understanding the consequences of such action or thought pattern.

Dare to explore other roads.

But only when you understand the proper way.

Make a choice, or let yourself be carried by fate.

All roads lead to Rome anyway...

It's a matter of personal experience.

This is the world of Sin.

Dare to explore...

Sin.

Original sin is the world’s oldest profession.

Sin is an imaginary term, it does not exist in any tangible way. It can't be measured or quantified. There is no mathematical formula that can explain it, like gravity or relativity.

Sin only exists in a context where punishment exists. If there is no punishment, there is no sin.

That is why sin only exists in a theological sense. A crime can get punished in this lifetime, we have laws for those, but sin won't. Sin can only be punished after we are deceased. And who's gonna punish you then?

If you don't believe in afterlife, there will never be punishment. Some religions do have afterlife, some don't. No one alive today has any proof of it.

Sin is when you transgress against another person now and is not about the law that God gave the Hebrews. Jesus changed that.

Then if you ask for forgiveness and mean it, you are done.

If you fall again after that, you will have to seek forgiveness. I am sure God is patient, but people you do that too might not be.

I've talked to you about this before BrotherKinsMan

"Sin" is a term of perception. Mistranslated in texts such as the Bible

You are on the right path ...

You should eventually understand:

There is Pain
There is Love

That is it ...

Everything else is an illusion of perception, based on one of these two things

Think of them, at their root, being no different to the concept of opposing forces within physics. Because they are one in the same

Pain withholds
Love permits

Understand this, and much of what your are considering should become much clearer and easier to understand

Good thread, as usual 👍☺️

No. To 'sin' is to offend God.
It is a moral evil done in understanding that the act is against God.
It is a voluntary act against God.
Evil is deficiency in perfection.
And God is perfection.

What you call an offense to god, I call straying from the Path of Harmony.

Same but different.

As for evil, it is purposeful harm done to another, in some fashion, for no good cause.

I guess we don't see eye to eye on some things.

Oh well.

Living in harmony with God is to have nothing, know nothing or want nothing for one's self. Allowing everything from that is to pour into the empty vessel.... Mathew 5.3 : Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
