Hey Grandpa What's for supper

I been wantin' meatloaf so tonight we got meatloaf, cornbread, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, fried zucchini, fresh sliced tomatoes, onions, green beans all of'em right out of the garden, my Wife made homemade yeast rolls and to wash it all down, there's sweet tea or a big 'ol glass of ice cold milk.

Ya'll come on in. Them dogs don't bite but the Wifes a little sketchy.

Damn that sounds good, meatloaf especially. In our family, nobody has mastered my Mom's simple version. It goes so well with her mashed potatoes, green beans. But it feels like we haven't had a good tomato all year, and hell I'd be happy with a Vidalia onion sandwich, finding those have been rare too for some reason

Just had to say that your fixin's sound delicious!

Just walked in the door after a long day, going
to eat a frozen pizza. I'm envious!

The dinner sounds great, All we had for Dinner tonight is chicken strips in the oven and instant mashed potatoes with butter on them and a garlic roll. One of those days we eat a bunch of junk food. You need one of those every so often.

So, when we have the grandsons for a weekend, they always get to pick Saturday nights meal.

Always one of 3 things lately.
Meatloaf, Nachos or Steak.

According to them, their mom cannot cook meatloaf or steak well at all.

I love meatloaf!
And this time of year for the garden. Just snacked on some small carrots this morning!

We're having pot roast, 'taters, corn bread n collard greens..and Johnny Cake for dessert!

PS...could LIVE my whole life...on MEATLOAF!!!!!
