Not 100% sure where to put this one, so I stuck it here. Please feel free to move it if it fits better somewhere else.
Sometimes a thought pops into my head out of the blue, and today was one of these days. I caught a song on the radio, I think it's called "End of
the World as we know it" by REM. I've never liked REM. Always thought they were a bunch of whiny bitches. I turned the song off immediately,
because I was already in a bad mood, and REM songs make me in an even worse mood. I was pretty much steaming about something else, and as I sat there
just thinking in the quiet Andy Kaufman popped into my head. I never liked Andy Kaufman either, not from the very first time I ever saw him. His
whole shtick was pi$$ing people off, and he was successful at it with me. That was his whole act, no matter what show he was on, or what he was
doing, he was always acting like someone else, pranking people, lying, and talking smack. Never once did I ever see the real Andy Kaufman. And, as
it turned out neither did anyone else. Everything about him was a deception.
Then it struck me, the political left absolutely worship Andy Kaufman, and maybe not so oddly, they also worship REM. As I sat there and thought
about this it all began to make sense. The left is all about deception, lies, pranking people, talking smack and whining about everything. The left
IS Andy Kaufman and REM rolled up into one and then amplified thousands of times over. You never know what's real and what isn't with them, and
just when you think things can't get any more twisted or ridiculous, they up the ante'. Andy Kaufman was supposed to be "funny" (but he wasn't).
The liberal left isn't supposed to be funny (and they aren't), but neither one of them ever based anything they did on anything other than
deception. How ironic. Then the icing on the cake is some really loud REM music whining about, well...everything, you name it. And the cherry on
top is Jim Carrey, the ultra-leftie socialist, playing Andy Kaufman in "The Man on the Moon" film.
%It's the end of the world and we know it, but I feel fine!
I'll bet they all do!
How ironic.
