I got a problem.
Let's say Monty Hall offers you two choices. Door 1 has a 75% chance of being 1 Zonk and 25% chance of being 1 Prize. Door 2...you have no idea what's
behind there, it could be 8 Zonks instead of just 1, but it could contain multiple prizes. There's no telling what Door 2 holds.
25% chance of winning the prize is pretty good, right? Try finding those odds at the casino. You can't.
Here's a few rules. You have to choose one door or the other. Not choosing is not an option. Also, you have to assume this is a high stakes game. The
prize is valuable and highly sought, while the zonk has major consequences. We're talking major success vs. critical failure. Use your imagination
here.
This is more of a philosophical problem than a math problem, but I welcome any creative solutions or thinking on this even if math is how you arrive
at your answer.
What door would you choose?
