Is anyone watching this?

It's seriously rubbish so far.

Lots of transgender blokes dressed as women (one with a beard!) which should trigger some folk on here.

Just hope the fireworks 🎇 don't disappoint.

Pretty dire so far.

Jeez.....

I never really watch the opening ceremony.
However I do enjoy some of the events throughout the week.

Don't bother with this one!

Is tiddlywinks now an Olympic sport?

I now have an excuse to work on my Mk 1 Mx 5, or as you know it, Miata.

Im not sure it translates to TV well either, opening ceremonies are for the city hosting the games and their citizens

It was cool when it was in Atlanta, I enjoyed being in a crowd of two hundred thousand people from all over the world. It's once-in-a-lifetime stuff. But that was in person and I have an attachment to Atlanta, while I enjoyed watching Gladys Knight's rendition of Georgia On My Mind opening night, a few nights later with 100,000 plus crammed into Centennial Olympic Park Ray Charles singing it with thousands of Georgians singing along was a fairly emotional and bonding moment.

It would've been a great Olympics without the scars inflicted by Eric Robert Rudolph a few days later, we went out of town
and it was surreal watching that happen at a place my whole family was at just days ago.

Great show. The electric horseman, the flickering ivory tower, the burning balloon at the end. Paris is a beautiful city anyway, so it was a feast for the eyes. Bravo Paris!

Watching the rerun it's like a bad acid trip mixed with Moulin Rouge rejects, a smidgen of Olympic tradition, boating on a river of fecal matter, and Peyton Manning, cause nothing reminds people of the best gay Paree more than #18.

Nope ... not watching. I find the Olympics boring
And there is always some kind of social engineering that they try to sneak in.

Hell for me the last time I watched any Olympic event mostly in its entirety was hockey in 1980 and that was just the last 2 games Russia and Finland.

I may watch basketball if it seems more competitive, otherwise, Olympic Breakdancing has zero appeal.

Far too long, too woke and a bit of a washout.

I see they're still trying to brainwash people into accepting abnormalities as Normal.

Oh well.... didn't watch it anyway.
