Hollywood is obsolete and doesn’t know it.

Ai in the hands of truly creative people, not political hacks more interested in their brand of politics, is going to wipe out Hollywood.

I’d watch this everyday of the week and twice on Sunday before I’d ever watch anything coming out of Hollywood these days.

Wonder if this person is on ATS. Theme could be ripped from the discussions here.

Right now the AI tools only produce a few minutes of content, soon it will be full length shows, then movies, then complete series.

This is a discussion that I encounter at my union meetings often..[SAG and IATSE]. AI will definitely play a part of production in the future. But Hollywood isn't the strong industry influence it once was with the advent of streaming, digital filmmaking etc. I often work on productions destined to be Netflix distributed and they continue to expand in my area.
AI will definitely change the entertainment industry but ultimately it boils down to story telling and AI will have a great impact on that aspect of digital communication. It has nothing to do with AI. AI is just a tool. Hollywood has lost the ability to tell stories. They are regurgitating what they have seen in movies but have not lived anough experiences to be creative.

It is all about the people. Creative story tellers now have the tools to make what they write about without the Hollywood types being involved.

As an indy producer, screen writer, film maker, it's not easy to get funding to make a feature length film. The way I play "chase the Money" game, is to approach the money guys at a script/film event like this......

Many types of people have enough money to invest in a film if they like it.

It's a little more complicated than just writing a screenplay and sending out emails to producers. I know you've heard the cliche...."It's not what you know, it's who you know" It's taken me 10years to finally get the right connections and they aren't usually Hollywood types but Arabs and usually they want you to cast some of their family in the film.

I welcome drastic changes in this industry!!
