So, what exactly is this? The POTUS delegating duties to other Cabinet Posts? The Secretary of Defense and Secretary of Energy are taking on roles that are the presidents? This means Lloyd Austin and Jennifer Granholm are being given the authority to make decisions, regarding funding, military equipment and funding without any oversight.

Is this normal? Has this been done in the past and we just do not know about it. I looked into each part and it is not so much nefarious as a why? I would like to know more about the Submarine Security
Activities Account. sec 1353...please read it.

Delegation of Functions and Authorities Under Sections 1333, 1342, 1352, and 1353 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024

1333 - Sec. 1333. Reporting related to the AUKUS partnership.
1342 - Sec. 1342. Identification and pre-clearance of platforms, technologies, and equip-ment for sale to Australia and the United Kingdom through Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales.
1352 - Sec. 1352. Authorization of sales of Virginia Class submarines to Australia.
1353 - Sec. 1353. Acceptance of contributions in support of Australia, United Kingdom, and United States submarine security activities.

What are they preparing for that the US President would add this to the NDAA?

AUKUS is a defence and security partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, announced in September 2021. A major part of the agreement (pillar 1) is to support Australia in acquiring its first conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarine fleet.

On it's surface, it looks like the regime wants to continue to fund the war in Ukraine while distancing itself facially.

Funny thing is, we know that it doesn't matter who the face is.

The democrats have made a mockery of the political process in the U.S. They circumvent, evade, and just bypass anything they consider an obstacle to their power-grabbing, all the while claiming to be "orderly and transparent"

Because of the dem's deceit and obfuscation, Harriet Hageman, a Republican rep from Wyoming has said that "We don't know who's running the country."

Immediately after taking office in 2021, Biden started negotiating a treaty between the US, the UK, and Australia (the AUKUS agreement). It was signed in 2022. It provides the legal framework for the US and the UK to share technical information and jointly develop military capabilities with Australia. The main point is to give Australia the ability to deploy nuclear-powered submarines (not nuclear-armed submarines) in order to counter the Chinese Navy in the Indo-Pacific region.

These provisions in the FY 2024 NDAA are simply implementing those programs.

Another part of the agreement is for the 3 nations to jointly develop and deploy hypersonic missiles to counter Chinese and Russian hypersonic missiles. Those should start coming online in a couple of years.

Biden also negotiated agreements with other nations in the Western Pacific to allow forward basing of US forces to be able to threaten Chinese actions in the South China Sea.

A lot of conspiracy theorists were so certain that Joe was selling out US interests to China that they totally lost sight of the fact that he was actually taking unprecedented actions to neutralize them militarily.

This should not happen.

My point is. This delegates POTUS powers to the SecState and SecEnergy. Why?

Biden negotiated huh? Please. This was in play before Biden came into office. Got held up in 2019. Renegotiated because France and England were fighting. US did not resolve anything. The Biden admin is blamed for not leading in this situation.

Why would a POTUS give ANY power to a cabinet post?

Any actual detailed proof of what you say ??

Sounds more like another standard money laundering scam with inclusive smuggling. 😬

I think we're going to be seeing a lot less of Biden. His meeting with Bebe was cancelled, then it was rescheduled with Harris after he announced he was stepping out of the race.

The video of him getting on the #2 plane this morning (Who's using AF1?) for the trip back to DC was some guy trying to look stooped over and shuffling like Biden does-but his shoulder hump was magically much smaller.

He wouldn't say a word to the crowd of reporters. All we're going to see of our 'POTUS' from here on out is AI videos.
We'll probably see more of 'him' in the next four months than we have in the last 3 1/2 years.

It's constitutional.

... and [the President] shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments..

The National Defense Authorization Act is overseen by Congress.

I am not sure what the issue is when the code allows for it.

So you are ok with a president doing this since he was in office?

Link

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 301 of title 3, United States Code, I hereby delegate to the Secretary of Defense the authority and functions vested in the President by section 1285(a) through (e) of Public Law 116-92 on the use of military force and support of partner forces to the Congress

SecDef seems to have a lot of delegated things since Biden has been in office.

You are all ok with this?

That is an appointment not a delegation of authority

Congress authorized The NDAA to designate Government Department's budgeting authority to the Heads of Departments. That's the way I read it, anyway. Congress does have "The Power of The Purse" and can authorize spending power to anyone they want.

I see this as setting up the administration for Harass so she has minimal influence over decision making but can still be a figure head.

It’s an attempt at weakening the office of president. If Trump wins they will maintain the delegated status of functions for as far into his term as possible, bamn.
