GOP Senators Angrily Confront Secret Service Director At RNC: ‘You Owe The People Answers’

Two Prominent Republican senators angrily confronted Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee Wednesday, demanding answers about security lapses that may have led to Saturday’s assassination attempt at Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania.

Cheatle told ABC News Monday in an interview the shooting was “unacceptable” and “never should have happened,” acknowledging “the buck stops with me.” Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has repeatedly described the shooting as a “failure” by the Secret Service and has said the agency will conduct an independent review of the incident, but has also defended Cheatle and said he has “100% confidence” in her.

Those trips are planned in advance.

She was to be there to address the death of Trump on Saturday ( so, she knew in advance)...except Trump did not die....

The RNC and DNC are designated National Special Security Events (NSSEs). An NSSE is an event of national or international significance deemed by the Department of Homeland Security to be a potential target for terrorism or other criminal activity.

They are the two biggest events the Secret Service will have to cover this year and planning for them starts months in advance and probably took some Secret Service resources away from the Butler, Pennsylvania campaign stop. Campaign stops are not NSSEs. If the Director of the Secret Service had not shown up at the RNC, people like you would probably be pissing and moaning about how she was neglecting her responsibility.
