I kinda remember that, I haven’t read much mythology since I was a child, but i do remember Saturn featuring in many old traditions. It very bright to the naked eye at times.
It also makes me think that perhaps H G Wells named his underground Dwellers in “The Time Machine “ Morlocks.
Similar names, and they periodically came to the surface to take a few human cattle.

Unfortunately, when government dangles carrots in front of the intellectually bereft after years of stoking them with hateful rhetoric until they spew venom this is what happens. The problem is that no amount of introspection will yield a positive result. When they look at themselves they see a heroic social justice warrior, not a sick twisted coward bloated on self gratification and therapy pizzas.

If someone with an ounce of intellect, for some strange reason, thought for a moment they were a hedgehog the solution would be simple - give them a mirror and a picture of a hedgehog and they will work it out. However, that doesn't work when the person looks in the mirror and sees a hedgehog... There is no reasoning with that. No amount of fact, discussion, example, or truth will change that. I just looked at the U.S. debt chart at the start of the Covid shutting down of the country by Trump and the upward jump should have alarmed everyone at that time, in addition to him spending $484 billion in Coronovirus aid, but sure the left and right should only focus on the price of gasoline at the present time. /sarc

They should start with a simple promise that outside true emergencies, they will not add further to the debt. But they will need to go further.
